| I just recommended this site to someone BUT... She said she had already found this place last night and it looked like everyone was fighting with eachother. It was someone I sold some clothes to, who has a precious new baby and she had some questions. I don't know what thread she was referring to, but that was kinda of sad. I asked her to come back and visit us and hopefully we will be better behaved. I hope she joins us because we are a great bunch of people to know! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Jodi, I think that this was the thread they were referring to... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13578 It's closed now, but looks like it got a little heated.

| I just recommended it today. I didn't notice any debating yesterday either. Well, no matter who is debating or what they are debating about, there are ALWAYS plenty more threads to look at if you aren't interested in those other particular ones. Any and all times there is more than one person, there are going to be different views and opinions. I guess that is why this forum isn't called "Yorkie Talk....My Way or the Highway" LOL! There were sooooo many cute pictures to look at on here yesterday! |

Ohhh, I thought that one might be a little sensitive. I didn't get to a "heated" part....just didn't join in. I've been busy. I have no idea how it went, but still, people have different opinions on everything. I still think YT is a great place regardless of any thread that has been posted since I've been here on Memorial Day. Last edited by Julz; 08-04-2005 at 03:42 PM.

| I know mine did........... I know I got alot of negative feedback on my post in breeding. I was very very disappointed with the responses back to me. I didn't think yorkietalk was like that. I understand others being a little unsure about joining now. Too bad we can't get rid of the negativeness and get all positive and supporting yorkietalkers here. |

| Its too bad they judged the whole forum based upon one thread. If its the one you listed it was a little heated but not that bad.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | the thread yesterday did get a LITTLE heated ...it did get off subject often....but it wasn't mean. I don't know why it was deleted but that's not my call - It was very similar to a breeding post today - if someone new came on here and only looked at ONE thread - then that's too bad - they could have looked around more. We all aren't going to agree all the time...it's just people standing up for things they believe in.

| I don't know if it was just one thread or several? She didn't elaborate. But you don't have to convince me, I know this site is great. And I really have no idea which thread might have shown her people fighting. Hopefully she will come back and check again. |

I hope people will realize that they are free to avoid any threads that make them uncomfortable and hopefully there aren't many of those. Maybe this is a point in favor of my suggestion for a separate debate forum where a thread would be transferred if it turned into a debate as this group seems to be able to turn the most noncontroversial things into a controversy like whether or not chocolate is poisonous to dogs, whether service dogs are a good thing, whether coccidiosis is the breeders fault and whether a breeder providing preventive medication in a puppy care kit going to the new puppies home is good. That way, anyone who doesn't want to read those threads will just not go there.
