I found a post on this website somewhere today that said if your female dog is humping toys or anything to scold them for it. Not to slap or hit them, obviously, but to tell them "No!" or shake a tin can at them with coins in it or something like that. I just laughed when Sadie did it. I guess I shouldnt have. LOL! It said its a dominance thing.

Gracie is 6 years old and humps her stuffed bulldog, Handsome Dan, every night after dinner. No matter what we do she won't stop but it's often pretty comical as she will hump him until she flips over top his head. It is a dominance thing.....she has always acted like the boss, even if it's just to a stuffed dog.

Goodness, I was going to ask this question myself but never got around to it. Tila has been trying to hump Odie. I see she's trying to be boss, which is what I thought. It's a good thing we tell her to stop when she tries to.
