| im so glad everything went well too... lexi was groggy after her spay and the vet also pulled her teeth... she was in pain because she would moan and she kept her mouth closed.. it was awful... i felt so bad.. , but the next day she was herself again.. she will not eat probably until tomorrow... just keep her comfy and try not to make her move around too much..

| I'm so glad she's ok. I have to say that, the day after my little Ellie had her spay & 6 teeth out, I tried to feed her the invalid food the vet had given for her but she was having none of it & instead pinched the other's dinners! The hardest part was trying to keep her still till the stitches came out |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad she is home. Pixie had 5 teeth, her 2 top canines and 3 molars pulled 4 week ago and came home late afternoon and I found her chewing on a hoof. They sent me home with pain meds but she didn't need it. She was only in for dental as she had been spayed already.

| Glad she is doing great, as far as the e collar, Lexie didn't have to wear one, but she had laser surgery, don't know if that is different or not than Chloe's but I don't know what to tell you, if its that bad I would see how she does without it, if she doesn't mess with it I don't see a problem with leaving it off, but I am sure others will give you better advice

| I am glad to see that your girl is doing well, I hope the problem with the collar gets worked out for you soon, so you both can get some rest. Good Luck |

| I am glad she is doing good. As far as the collar, maybe call the vet and tell them what you told us and see if you can keep it off for a while as long as you watch her?

| When I got Scooter nuetered (about a month and a half ago), only one of his testicles was descended so it turned out to be a little more indepth than we planned. He had a extra set of stitches and came home with an e-collar like your baby. They also ended up pulling one baby tooth. As far as the e-collar, I only made him wear it when I was not at home (I work full time but go home at lunch to be with him). When I was home, he didn't really lick or mess with the stitches and if he started to, I would just tell him no and he eventually stopped trying. He was much more comfortable without it and able to sleep. He sleeps in bed with me at night so even though I wasn't watching him all the time, I didn't make him wear it at night. That may not be the best thing as far as vets are concerned but he likes to spread out when he sleeps and can sleep for hours at a time without moving a muscle so I just let him. See how your baby responds but if you are watching them, even the vet will tell you they dont have to wear them....mine did. Scooter had the stitches in for 12 days. Having the stitches removed took maybe 5 minutes and the scar is almost gone. As far as teeth being pulled, I didn't really notice a difference in the amount of food he ate. Scooter only had one pulled so that could be a factor. He didn't eat the first night but the vet said that was normal. I did give him wet food the next day because he considers that a treat and he loved it. Make sure to give your baby lots of loving because this is a big bonding period, they need you more than ever. Good luck.
