Default Help...I have one sad pup...

So Abbey is absolutely attached to my BF's dog, Nuppy. Nuppy pretty much had lived with me full time bc my boyfriend lives in my apartment even though he has his own. Anyway, my BF and I have been fighting a bit so he went back to live at his apartment, and poor Abbey is beside herself in sadness. I have never seen a dog so sad.

When they first left she sat by the door for almost 4 hours crying and staring out the crack. I would move her over and try to play and she was not having it. That was last night. We went to bed and she did fine. Now today, she hasn't really eaten all day. She is not very interested in playing. Annnd she still goes to the door and cries. I swear yesterday I saw a bunch of tears streaming down her face (is this possible? do dogs actually cry with sadness and produce sad tears?).

Anyway, it is destroying me to see her like this. I don't know what to do and she needs to eat. Will she ever be OK??

It's SEVERE seperation anxiety. Poor gal.

1. This is how she waits at the door.
2. Abbey crying (I SWEAR I see tears).

Awwwwhhhhhh..... I am SO sad for her!! (and I hope your ok too!!) She will be ok, she just needs a little time. Try to make a big fuss over her, which I'm sure you already have, she will be ok. And I think they can feel very upset when things happen, or we are sad. Maybe take her out to a dog park or around other dogs, or get another Yorkie!!! lol

Poor baby! Is there any hope that you might work it all out with time?
I am sure she hopes so. I believe that dogs really cry tears. Mine do.

They truly feel it, like they know when things aren't right. It's amazing how intuitive dogs are. We are comforting each other.

Thanks all for the support. Im hugging her now for everyone.

Hopefully we will work it out. We have been together for 2+ years and I think we just need some time apart. It's a rough time for us, as one of our best friends who was only 21 passed away last 4th of July in a car accident. So we both are just a little frazzled and taking it out on each other.

Sooo I think Nup will be back eventually...

Ohhhh I saw a tear in her eye in the second picture . Poor little one . It will be a good idea to get her a new friend. That is the best solution.
