| Unbelievable!!! I absolutely hate pet stores as it is... but this takes the cake! If you ever had doubts about pet stores you shouldn't now! Who on EARTH would neuter a baby this young? ARG!!!! AND what decent Vet would do the neutering? pets2u.com - The Online Resource for Happy and Healthy Pets

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Actually, there IS a safe way to neuter/spay pets before they leave the breeder's home which is usually 12 weeks. They are coming up with new and advanced technology now days. This particular pup does seem young...but it is possible.

| Do you think maybe he is not neutered yet but they plan to have him neutured before he goes with anyone. 47 days is a bit young

| Many shelters are spaying/neutering as early as 6 weeks now. It can be done safely and so far there is no evidence of any negative effects from altered early. Not defending the pet store because I HATE petstores that sell puppies but I don't necessarily believe they are in the wrong for neutering that early. I'd rather wait until closer to 12 weeks, but I understand why shelters have to do it earlier

| What they did makes me sad and then angry. I support spaying & neutering 100% but I just can't support doing it to a baby 47 days old. We both know that this little boy should still be with his Mom and littermates for at least another 6 weeks. I understand that shelters want to reduce the number of unwanted animals because of needless breeding and that we're all looking for new technology to better our lives but not with babies this small/young. "just because we can - doesn't mean we should" Just my heartfelt opinion...

| Now poor baby needs rescuing. That's a whole lot of stuff at such a young age. He probably will have issues with trusting people have had so many shots (they hurt!) so early as well as an iv.
