| So, after almost two months as a yorkie mom I've decided that I want another one in a year or so. I'd really like a biewer, so I'm going to start saving my pennies. I'm just wondering what my husband's reaction will be when I say "Honey, there's going to be a new addition to the family!"

| Give him a few more months to warm up to the pup. He'll fall head over hills and wouldn't mind another one. |

| Well, he's already in love with BeBe. You can see in my avatar (pic from the first week she was with us), she was on his lap watching the NBA playoffs. He gives her kisses when he comes in from work and asks how "Daddy's baby" is, so I'd say he's warming up to her just fine. Which is hilarious to everyone because when I was waiting for her he kept telling everybody "it's her dog, not mine!"

| Awww how cute........ I have the same problem only with kids........not really but My sone was 7 months old when i found out i was pregnant again (oops) Needless to say, my kids are 14 months apart and I LOVE it that way, even though ones a boy and the youngest is the girl they are VERY close!!!! we want one more but hubby wants to wait another year or so, I would rather do it now......(my youngest is two) I say go for it now, that way they are closer, you have less chance of them fighting, and you can potty train all at once. Good luck (just tell him since he took over YOUR dog, you are getting another one for yourself)

| I added Kingston about 11 months after we got Lily and I was so worried I was making the wrong decision but let me tell you it is the best thing I have ever done. We have had kingston about 4 weeks now, they are already best friends.

YT 2000 Club Member | I know just what you mean, I was so in LOVE with Jeter and after only having him a few months I was begging for an other puppy. I had to keep bringing puppies up every once and a while. Then I started to search on the web and show the cute pups to the hubby.. Finally he said to go for it so I did. Jeter is going to be about 10 1/2 months old when we get our little girl Yumi Yasha home.

| i completely recommend getting a second yorkie - they are such social creatures, that it makes life easier for them when u are not there with them if there is a sibling. We got Jenna three months after Jaya, and I actually would have preferred them to be closer in age. However, some people recommend waiting until one is totally trained and then getting another one... And trust me, your husband won't mind... mine went and brought Jenna home for christmas. |

| That's great to hear. You know my experience, I think it was the right age but just really bad timing. He really misses having a playmate. Zoe was really quick in potty training. I would give her a small treat and Hot Rod as well everytime she used the pad...sort of an incentive for him to teach her. I think it worked.
