Awww Well at least Romeo has you to protect and stick up for him
No one in my family drinks faucet water in our home. That includes me, my husband, my 3 children AND MY FURBUTTS!!! lol! We go through 4 cases/flats of Nestle bottled water a week. It's only $16 bucks for all 4 every week so whats the big deal?!?!
Some people are just ignorant and shoud learn to keep their rude comments to them self. I was raised with the "If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all" speech More people need to practice it

Their loss.........
wow thats so rude!!! =/
i'm sorry you have to go through that with your family! just for having a lovely furbabies who give you a ton of unconditional love!

Wow~ I can't even imagine anyone that is a friend or relative of mine saying something negative about my pets (at least to my face or within earshot). And that includes even my dh's friends who aren't so animal crazy as I am. I used to take one of my parrots everywhere and I am sure they thought it was a little eccentric, but they never said a word. Maybe that's why nobody says anything about the dogs, ROFL.....they're just thankful it's something more 'Normal".

On the other hand, I think it's ignorant for people to make fun of you or what you do for your pets. Just tell them that if they ever end up unable to take care of themselves, they'd better hope that someone as caring as you is around to take care of THEM.

Default Bottled water

My poodle, Elvira, who is 14 years old, has canine cognititve disorder and heart disease. Since she was diagnosed, she and my yorkie, Rocky, only get distilled water. It's not that expensive and it's worth it. I believe they've found that drinking bottled water actually helps with canine cognitive disorder.

I wonder why some people are like that? I'm sorry they ruined your nice time out at the bbq and what should have been a really nice visit. Just invite people you know are not like this to your own bbq and have a great time.

I couldn't agree with you more!!!! I give Maggie bottled water and my husband thinks she eats better than we do because of what I make for her. He can stick it. So can everyone else with something nasty to say about our babies. In my family and circle of friends, I've been dealing with the 'big dogs are REAL dogs' mentality. Totally makes my blood boil

Maggie is the sweetest little girl I've ever known - I don't understand why people think we're crazy because of the love we give our little ones in return for all the happiness and love they give us.

LOL...well, I'm sure there was plenty of eye-rolling going on behind my back, but most people seemed more interested in how he behaved I guess. And I think when you show how much you adore your dog, most people are somewhat respectful. MOST people, hehe....I'm sure when there's a influx of testesterone, anything can fall out of their mouths.
I feel like my pets are my most favorite "people" and my dearest friends, along with being my babies....and because they don't beg to be dressed or spoiled, it's MY doing; I do take it personally if someone would say something unkind about them.
And I have to admit, I'm more like Lexi Rae's mom~ don't mess with my dogs; I've got vicious tongue when I feel like they're being threatened or insulted and I can't control it, LOL.

I give Suzi Bottled water too. Too me, there is nothing wrong in loving your pets sooo much you want the best for them. That is one of the reasons why a person gets a pet, to love and spoil them!
Suiz is my little girl, she makes me laugh, and get up in the morning. i am disabled and so is my son. Our pets, Including Suzi our so much a part of our lives, that we are functioning healthier, and living better because we have them.
Suzi provides the unconditonal love that we needed , we can always count on her to be happy, and lick our faces. I don't care if others disagree about how I am with my pets, they are my best friends.
