| Help with bows/barrettes/fine hair! Now that we have Jake, hubby has OK'd my wanting to grow Willow's hair out a bit and use bows!!!!. The problem I am having is that her hair is very fine and thin. I've tried the double band bows...she hates them and they pull her hair, barrettes and clips...they don't stay in....is there some other type of clip, barrette or band backing that will stay in fine hair and not pull and stay in? Thanks! |

| I'm not sure. Maybe try posting this in the grooming section of YT. There are a few groomers on here that might see it there and be abe to guide you in the right direction |

| Has her hair always been thin? What you feed has a lot to do with skin/ coat quality. I am a raw feeder and when I first adopted my rescue, she was almost bald her hair was so thin. After 4 months on the raw diet she has a thick, fluffy and shiny coat. I also give her Nordic Naturals Pro-Omega fish oil supplements a few times a week. Definitely post in the breeders section, but its my belief diet has a lot to do with coat quality.

| Use a simple grooming band under a barrette bow! That should work... Never pull out the band, just cut it every night!

| pebbles hair is silky and thin.. it grows like baby hair, where it slowly doubles & triples in thickness.. right now she is growing in about an inch of new hair underneath her other hair... it was hard to put clips and rubberbands in but then someone suggested I get some of the rubberbands from gofetch.com and tehy work a lot better.. i just have to go around 6 times, and then it stays in! its much easier.. now i can even clip a bow underneath it and it will stay. maybe give those a try? |

| I just use those non-pulling extra mini colorful rubber bands, and then I stick a little baby clip right below it. |

| Mia doesn't have a whole lot of hair yet on her head for a big topknot. I found these tiny clips at target and they are great!! Maybe these will work for you? Mia097.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

| I have a little barrette that I found to make bows for my granddaughter when she was an infant that work great on thin hair. They are the second barrette choice featured on my website. The best idea is to make a topknot with bands, then clip the bow right under the band so it can't fall off. |

| Ava used to rub and rub her head until her ponies came off. I figured out what she didn't like was that the pony stood up on her head and she didn't like the feel of them wobbling back and forth. So now I put her pony in and then use a baby clip ( the kind that you pinch to open ) to hold the pony flat on her head. Her rubbing her head stopped immediately. I think I solved that problem. When I want a bow, I use bows with rubber bands and put it over the scrunchy.

| Well, sometimes they don't!! If she's playing rough I'll find it barlely hanging on. Sometimes i'll put it up with a band and then attach the clip to the band and it'll stay.
