| BIG scare!!!!!!! okay so I took the girls on their normal walk this morning, and i took a different route....... well the girls started to bark and i think, 'hmm what the heck'... as we walked past this house, these two giganticus dogs were playing in their backyard - and there was NO FENCE!! AND little miss Jaya went nuts!!! And so the big dogs started to bark back!!!!! I HAULED the girls up, held on TIGHT and started to speed walk! One of the dogs began to FOLLOW!!!! At this point... my heart was beating so fast, and I'm thinking, "omgawd we're goners.... all three of us, gone! I can't even run cuz then he'll chase" ... i was almost to the point of complete hysteria and was frantically thinking of a way to allude the big bad dog. Jaya and Jenna were mute in silence because they picked up on my fear..... As the dog neared, I could hear him panting behind us. I sped up and ducked into someone's gated yard, closing the gate behind me. Then I noticed their sign "Beware of Dog"............. And I think "omg this can't be happening" I jumped over their fence into their neighbours and totally collapsed - and the poor girls are huddled with me!! A little Asian lady comes out of the house, and is like who are you... lol She barely spoke English, but when I pointed to the big dog standing at her gate, she was like "Oh him?? He don't say anything. He live over there," and she points to the house where the dogs were..."ya they have two. very very nice dogs. They dont say nothing" Lets just say I waited there in her yard, until she shoo'd him away......and then I ran to the next street with the girls cradled in my arms i've never been so scared in my life... |

| Oh my! I would have been terrified too. I am so glad that you are a fence jumper and was able to make it to safety. Often times big dogs just want to "visit" but you never know. |

| Thank God, the three of you are OK!! I'm sorry, but the vision of you clutching your two babies and leaping over that fence did make me laugh. What are the chances of trying to escape a large dog and running into a yard with a dog that needs a "Beware of the dog!" sign?? I am thankful you were able to get away without being bitten. I believe, if I were you, I would stick to my old "dog free" route!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | How scary! Glad it turned out ok. I'm afraid to walk more than one of my dogs at a time unless my dtr goes with becasue most people around me have big dogs. I know most dogs are just curious bit you can't take the chance to find out.

| I am glad everything worked out for you. I drive mine to a park about 5 mins away from my house to walk because I have had too many encounters with big dogs loose. Most of which I am sure are harmless but you never know

Yorkie Yakker | how irresponsible those pet owners were to let their dogs just roam around. that irritates me. shows how much they love their dogs, enough to let them venture out into the road and get hit. thankgoodness you and the babies are okay! i would of done the exact same thing!

| Wow, what a great story, I was at the edge of my seat. I am so glad you are all ok. That must have been quite the scare. I am such a chicken too .. I am a basketcase when I see a loose dog headed our way. One time I started to speed walk to get away also, and I ended up spraining my ankle. It wasn't funny at the time, but now I laugh every time I think of it. Anna Dog profile for Kiki, a female Yorkshire Terrier
