Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | THIS Section Is Not For HEALTH, DIET or SICK/EMERGENCY Issues Please Everyone: If you have an issue related to Health, Diet, or Emergency - post it in the Health & Diet Forum or Sick/Emergency Forum. The General Forum is for Yorkie related topics that don't fall into any of the several other Topical Forums on the board (Grooming, Traveling, For Sale, Pictures, Breeding, etc.). Thanks for your help in posting topics in their appropriate forums.

| Does it really make that much of a difference? The way I see it, someone is asking for help! Does it really matter where they post it? I don't mind either way! Use it loose it - just my thoughts!

Because the people with more knowledge "cruise" the sick and injured forums. It's much more likely to get good advice right from the start. I'd rather get one piece of good advice than 10 suggestions that are wrong. Wylie's Mom is one of the knowledgeble people that offers sound advice on medical issues.

| I think it does matter because having different sections helps to keep the board "neat" and, as Nancy said, people who are knowledgeable about certain subjects look in those sections. If the questions are posted in the wrong section, moderators have to spend their time moving them.

The posts in can GENERAL DISCUSSION get buried fast by new Threads - the posts in other sections don't move as quick & Nancy1999 is right - there are alot of members who go purposly to the 'sick injured / health' sections to see if they CAN help - As fast as threads are posted on the GD main section - people can miss them...one reason (not to diss anyone) is - General Discussion can have some pretty silly threads ? Not to mention (but I AM lol) - the moderators have to move threads to the right section every single day cause this site has a HUGE number of new people all the time - that's very time consuming and they don't get paid for the hours they 'work' (though I personally think they should) | |

| I think people do this because they don't know any better. Maybe a courtesy PM from a moderator would be helpful. This is the first forum I ever joined and I'm sure I've posted in the wrong section. Information is what people are seeking and I think we can help some of the people that make these mistakes by letting them know in an way that is not hurtful and welcoming them to continue to participate in this forum.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Thanks to Nancy and Villette and Crystal for explaining what I should've explained more fully when I posted this originally. However, I posted this rather quickly yesterday after spending a very frustrating amount of time moving health/sick threads that were buried in the General Forum. The General Forum, as others have said, can often move incredibly fast - and I'll find a post about a very sick dog on Page 2 or 3 of the General Forum - a dog who never really received enough help becasue it got pushed down the page too quickly. Also, like Nancy said - there are a lot of people here who really try to focus on Sick/Health -> and your babies will therefore find the BEST possible advice in those areas if they are sick or injured. Those are the first places I go to when I get here - BUT, that is only after I first fish through the General Forum to see what needs to be moved - which can be quite time consuming. So - that's the "why" behind the request. It's not just because it floats my boat or anything - nope - it's so that all of us can quickly help your dog if he/she is indeed in a dire situation or in a health situation where we can help.
