| Disposable vs Washable Wee Wee Pads I'd like to get some Washable wee wee pads for my Roxy but I have a few questions and I need your expertise! 1- How do I get her to use the washable pads after using the wee wee pads for so long? 2- Can she tear them up like the disposable ones? 3- How often should I wash them? 4- When she poops can I just remove the poop and wipe that spot clean? 5- How often should I replace them? 6- WHERE CAN I GET THEM FROM??? Thanks so much YT! I love you guys!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | 1- How do I get her to use the washable pads after using the wee wee pads for so long? It's really easy, I just put the washable ones where the disposable one use to go. 2- Can she tear them up like the disposable ones? No, this is one of the best things about them. 3- How often should I wash them? I have lots of them so I do a load once a week. Joey's the type that always likes a clean pad, but most dogs will use a soiled pad. 4- When she poops can I just remove the poop and wipe that spot clean? I usually just pick up the poop. 5- How often should I replace them? I've washed mine quite a bit, they seem to be holding up real well, I guess that would depend on how often you washed them. 6- WHERE CAN I GET THEM FROM??? Little Bit, a member here makes them, and I've heard that they are not only effective, but really cute. I made mine, but they are not cute. Here's Little Bit's page. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/mem...tle%2Bbit.html You could leave her a message. There also great for the environment, and really cost effective.

| 1- How do I get her to use the washable pads after using the wee wee pads for so long? We have always used washable. 2- Can she tear them up like the disposable ones? I wouldn't think so. Ace will sometimes chew on the corner of his and they hold up great. 3- How often should I wash them? I wash when I have 4 dirty. I have about 15 or so. Sometimes if I have a really busy week I 'll end up with 6 dirty. They wash well. I use a little bleach, tide, and downy. I wash on hot and hang to dry-they smell very fresh and clean afterwards . (I cloth diapered my twins though too! ) 4- When she poops can I just remove the poop and wipe that spot clean? If it is not runny it should just pick right up. 5- How often should I replace them? I haven't had to replace them-I guess when they get worn through. 6- WHERE CAN I GET THEM FROM??? I work in a nursing home as an admissions nurse. They have some they were getting rid of due to a new shipment and I got all of them free. They are cotton with a liner underneath. And good-sized too. You should be able to call any local nursing home (or ask where they got them) and tell them you would like some of there cotton incontinent bed pads and ask if they have any old ones they could sell you cheap. I don't want them too pretty or I would not like bleaching and making sure they are really clean. Hope this helps!!

| 1- How do I get her to use the washable pads after using the wee wee pads for so long? I just put a disposable on top of the washable for a while until they got used to the washable. 2- Can she tear them up like the disposable ones? Mine have not even tried to tear up the washable. They are really strong. 3- How often should I wash them? Depends on how many dogs you have and how many disposables you use, and how many pads you have. I do one load of washables a week. 4- When she poops can I just remove the poop and wipe that spot clean? That is the way I do it. 5- How often should I replace them? So far I have not needed to replace them. 6- WHERE CAN I GET THEM FROM??? I order mine from Little Bit. Hers are the best by far. In a pinch, PetsMart sells some, but they are no where near as nice. Thanks so much YT! I love you guys!
