| Lets see some 6-7-8lbers w/ a puppy cut AND a topknot too!! So, I finally gave in and Koda is getting groomed in the morning Not PETCO this time around, lol! But a local groomer who has had her shop for quite some time now. It's kind of neat how it's set up. It's in a corner of an old house that's been created into small shops. The grooming shop is on the corner of the house with big glass windows you can see in from the street. I was waiting at a stop light there this mornig watching a bigger dog getting groomed in the front window and thought what the heck. So I called her and she had 1 cancellation for tomorrow morning Koda could have if we wanted it. So I said......yes. I am just so leery about taking him. Not about the shop, which is called Designer Dogs, but just worried that once again I will pay for something I didn't want. Which is something I have done 2 other times now. What I think I want is to have him cut down to a "longer" puppy cut on his body, NOT sure about what to do w/ the legs as I don't want him to lose all that he has, just some, lol! And his sweet face hmmmmm We have waited so long for his bangs/topknot hair to grow back after PETCO chopped them all off 2 diff times. I know I DEFINATELY want his above eye hair left alone. We need that, for pretty top knots, lol! But for as around his face and chin/beard area is where I am getting stumped. I love the teddy bear face cuts, but is there a way to do it so that Koda doesn't have to lose an extreme amount of his beard and such? Or do I say just leave it a bit and give me that kind of round face that looks so cute on the smaller Yorkies? AAArrrrghhhhhh!!! lol!! HELP PLEASE!!!! Anyone have a 6,7,8lb Yorkie w/ a longer puppy cut, still has beautiful topknot, rounded like face but still a tad bit longer in the beard area?? Oh, and the then legs and feet??????What to do there???? I ppicked up a Yorkshire Terriers mag tonight from PETCO to try and find some pics to take with me, but I can't find everything I want all in 1 or 2 pics. So if anyone thinks they can help me, please do!!!! We leave at 8:50am in the morning to drop him off!!! I am so worried he is gonna come out looking crazy cause of everything I have wrote down to give to her, not one bit of it makes any sense, lol!!! I even looked through my Yorkie Calander which has pics of a yorkie everyday of every month!!! I'm still confused!!!!! HELP! Just throw some pics here on the thread if you think they will help me at all, lol! I feel like this shouold be much easier to find what "look"I want my boy to wear/have! Maybe I am just being to diff and asking for too much, lol! I apologize for all this mumble jumble I have typed here, I am just out of time and worried about my sweet Koda Bear. I just want him to look nice like everyone elses Yorkies here on YT! |

| Here you go! Gracie is 6 lbs. ish. One is a shorter cut, the other is a bit longer cut, both with a topknot. (That second photo should show up eventually. If not, visualize this first pick with hair about 2" long)

| Well Ranger isn't that big but here is one with him right after a puppy cut, and still with his top knot. Please ignore the shaved sections out of his little legs, they were from a hospital stay. I actually recently had the top knot chopped off but actually it's really cute and lots easier. I LOVE yorkies!! They are like those little dolls that you can cut and style their hair and then crank the arm and grow it back out!! I love it!!

| Hi! I am a groomer. I always tell my customers to bring a photo of what they want when they are trying out a new cut. Even if you have to bring 2 pics. One of how you want the body, and one of how you want the head! There can be such a big difference in lengths when refering to a puppy cut! I hope that it works out well! And I hope the see pics of the new cut when I get home this afternoon! |

| This is an older picture of my Willy, but he was 9lbs and I always kept him in a puppy cut and his face with the teddybear look. He was a dolly! I think he liked the shorter haircut. I think the groomer just scissor cut his legs and paws (so they didn't look too much like twigs holding up his little round tummy |

| Zoeybear Zoeybear weighs about 6 lbs. She has a big gut tho' (too many treats) She has a puppy cut all the time, but never wears the top knot because Baby Chloe and her take turns ripping each other's hair out by the roots! Here is a rare pic with the top knot but you can't see much of her body. PS. We always have a few bangs, but the top left just in case you want a barrette.
