Update on Jeanie :) Well, the little rascal continues to do well....she seems fine Had a nice BM last night to prove it (she had been without one for a day - changing her food and all - so I was worried). It looked normal. No throwing up. No loss of energy. No yucky BM's. Nothing that looks like a sick dog at all. So I am very happy to say she is well again. Our second opinion from the vet yesterday, said, that liver shunt often decreases the size of the liver, not increases it. Interesting..... and also said all the blood test results could be an "acute" toxic poisoning (got into something and now it's passed and everything will recover). So he suggests we repeat the panel in 2 wks time. And this time - I will make sure she has a TRUE FAST! I told the hospital that she had eaten a little that morning, and probably drank too. I was on the phone with the vet when they said bring her in, and her bowl was down and she was eating......so that test is not accurate in my opinion. I'm hoping for the best possible outcome here. And will keep my eagle/hawk eye on her until time to repeat the tests...... Thanks for all your help, words of wisdom, and prayers. We are not sure 100% that there isn't something else going on, but just for today, all is well.............. Darcey

Thanks Ladies No mushrooms in our yard - actually - no yard! We have a cement patio, and she goes out on it into a pen.....really doesn't roam free outside much at ALL (we are probably neurotically overprotective of her - and look - she got sick anyway!) We have been racking our brain as to what we think it was....perhaps someone had put fertilizer on their lawn, and on the walk with the dog walker, she got into it on her paws?? Just so not sure of what happened...............

I am glad she is feeling so much better and will be ok. I get so worried when one of our Yorkie babies are sick. It could have been the lawn fertelizer, had she had all of her shots? Or was there any fever at all? It is wise to do the testing in two weeks, just to be on the safe side. I too, am on the overprotective side .

OH ya, she's had all her shots.....everything that is suggested has been done. Sentinel etc.....all the puppy shots, after 1 year we did another one. We don't want to take any chances with our baby. She's my daughter 100%. I will be taking her back in 2 weeks, hopefully to see a nice clean test, and this whole nightmare behind us
