| She's biting my ankles!! What's the deal with the ankle biting? BeBe insists on walking behind me and biting at my ankles and calves. Will it stop? Do I have to train her not to? I always say "No bite!" but to no avail. Anybody else had this issue? |

| Maybe But one of those little nips really hurt the other day...today I've been trying a little squirt bottle and I give her a spritz and say "no bite" and she's walked away and come back with a better attitude. Am I being too hard on her? |

| roscoe does the same thing.......he will nip our hands while we are playing fetch and our toes. We tried the spray bottle and he tried eating the water. Friend of mine went through the same thing and said it stopped once the teething period ended. |

| If you feel bad about the squirt bottle, try coins in a can. It'll get to the point that you don't even have to rattle the can. Hot Rod HATES that. and no, you are not being cruel but I don't like the bottle squirting...I thought it might make them afraid of water. Good luck.

| I did that too! But I must have a weak bottle. It worked for about 15 minutes then I guess it wore off because as soon as I walked toward the kitchen, there she was again!!! So I should just reapply as necessary? |

| These types are the ones that need to be taken for more walks and played with outside frequently. My Razael is an ankle nipper too, but when I exercise her often, she doesn't do it. I think they will just outgrow it. I don't want to scare her or wet her because I don't want her to start being timid or distrusting. I need all the exercise I can get anyway. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Maggy May used to do this to me, I went out and bought a whistle and when she did it, I'd blow it loud and quick to startled her, cured her in a few days. You could also try a squirt bottle.

YT 2000 Club Member | O my goodness, are you serious?? Maggy May has never made my ankles bleed when biting at them. I've heard of some people using the bitter apple in hopes it would work but then the furbutt got used to it and liked it, lol. Good luck though, I hope you find a solution that will work for you and your furbaby.
