| Petland~omg I was at work today and everyone KNOWs I have a Yorkie! EVERYONE. Maybe it is because everyone is forced to see pictures on a daily basis Anywho...my co-worker is reading the classifieds durning some downtime and he reads outloud. "Affordable Yorkies $49.00" I said oh Surely this is a typo. So I called and the lil girl answers the phone. "We are having a huge sale at Petland!" I said yes I see that, Do you really have Yorkie puppies on sale for 49??? She said... well we did but we sold them all today I said oh.. 49$ Do you know where they came from ? she said a breeder up north. She could tell I was upset and could see where this line of questioning was going and quickly said that they were fully pedigreed and registered. I could tell she was ringing people up and answering questions. She was over me so i let her go. I am just sick about it. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maybe it was a come on to get people to come nad get a more expensive puppy. If not I hope they didn't sell them so cheap because they were sick. Maybe they got to old. That is so sad that they can stay in business

| I can't stand petland! Perhaps the pups were marked down so low because people aren't buying them anymore (and thats a GOOD thing!). If they are losing money on them.. then they will hopefully stop selling puppies all together!

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I think you hit it on the money. I have never seen Petland or any other petstore sell a dog for that cheaply. Shoot you can't get a dog that cheap from the pound.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It bothers me because of the type of person that would be inclined to buy such a good deal. Perhaps breeders, or people looking for dog fight bait, that seems totally irresponsible of them.

| 49 dollars?! which petland is this (i live near you)? I doubt they actually sold a puppy for 49 dollars. like that other poster said, you cant even get a dog that cheap from the pound. I got my cat when she was a kitten from the humane society and it cost me about 100 dollars! |

| Oh man, that makes me sick at my stomach. I just can't imagine what was going on at your PetLand. I just hope that the poor pups got a good home with lots of love and proper care. |

| My thought is there never was any Yorkie pups there...for $49.00. Once people were in the store...they'd have some Yorkies left...but none of the $49.00 ones...then they would try to sell them much more expensive pups. Just my thoughts!
