My First Yorkie!!!!!!!!!!! I just got a 12 week old Yorkie that my son named Mufasa (from the Lion King). I have NEVER had a dog inside although I've wanted one for years and years! I was looking at the picture gallery and noticed a lot of the puppies have their ears standing up.......Mufasa's ears don't stand up. Am I supposed to do something to make them stand up or will they just do that naturally in time?

Congradulations on your new pup post some picture of him Welcome to YT! this is a wonderful place to get plenty of support and feedback! Yes, your baby will stand his ears up .... I know that sometimes people will shave them, because they are too heavy to stand up, and at other times they tape them. My Suzi is nealy 15 weeks, and is just now starting to hold her ears up I would not worry too much about it. Let him adjust first, and give him lots' and lots' of TLC.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'll post a pic as soon as I can figure out how to work my new digital camera! ha! I absolutely LOVE my little yorkie and we take him everywhere we go. He would shake and be scared at first but the more we do it the better he gets so I'm excited about that. I also meant to ask what you feed your Yorkie. We bought our yorkie from my husband's uncle and he was feeding him Beneful but he doesn't seem to like it. When I took Mufasa to my parents house (they have a Chihuahua (sp) and they give him Kibbles N Bits. Mufasa must have loved it because that's the most I've seen him eat. I bought him some Kibbles N Bits and now he won't hardly eat any of it. I've been reading the posts and trying to learn as much as I can so any help in this area would be appreciated!
