| Picking a name How long did it take for you to name your babies? Here's my story.... I just picked up my baby boy yesterday and he is absolutely adorable! I was going to wait until after I studied him to give him a name. I had quite a few to choose from: Toby, Primo, Ozzie, Loki, Meeko, and Harley. I thought it was going to be hard, but after a few hours, I knew Harley was the one! Of course, as hubbies always do, mine had a cute little comeback to that. He said he looked more like a Honda than a Harley! HAHA Don't you just love those men! I got his number. As much as he has been teasing me, nothing is more sillier and cuter looking than a big ol' 6'1" 300 lb. man holding a 1.5 lb puppy! Anyway, back to my question to ask. How long did it take for you to name your babies? |

| Hey, welcome to YT....I'm from Many! Some of mine I knew their names right away, others it took a while to find the perfect name to fit them. Personally, I think Honda is adorable! I'm going to PM you.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Ramsey was named by her breeder and we kept it. Reese was named before I ever brought him home. Reggie was being called Rem...until the morning after coming home and we decided he looked like a Reggie.

| It took us a couple of days but hubby and I are always needing names for various things...water toys, etc., so we wanted to make sure we both liked his name. And boy does it fit, especially when he has the zoomies!

| Bruiser our chocolate lab (deceased) was easy he weighed 117 pounds, Candy, his daughter, a yellow lab (also deceased) was all the shades of an ivory cameo, Barney my Bichon just looked like a "Barney", Mickey my black toy poodle was named after "Mickey Mouse" and my new baby yorkie, Katy, is named after my old vet's tiny yorkie named Katy who "ruled the roost" at his vet clinic. |

| It took my son (he's 14) all of 5 minutes of seeing Mufasa and he knew it was the perfect name. I wasn't so sure but it has definitely grown on me and the more I interact with Mufasa the more he really IS a Mufasa! HA |

| I agree with others as I named some right away...and others took longer. My first girl was named the moment I saw her, my boy was named before I got him (and thankfully the name fit him!) and my baby was named for just a week and than I changed it becuase although the name was cute, it just wasn't her. Take your time and see if the name Harley still works after a week. You may be surprised and change it to something completely different. They really do pick their own names, each and every one of them has a different personality. I love Harley!!! But your husband cracked me up with Honda |

| When I got Lily I looked at her and just knew the name fit her. It took me 5 day and a poll to come up with Kingstons name.

| Once I had found my breeder and saw my boy...I went through several names, our last Yorkie was Jazz we are music lovers in my house. So I tried out Pharoah my personal fav, then Apollo for the God of music and laughter but the natives weren't too happy with that. One night while on YT looking for names I came across BOSS!!! my heart jumped with that one. So far he is anything but a Boss, he's the sweetest, smartest little guy in the world |

| Congratulations on your new puppy Harley! I have had many dogs in the past and named them quickly. For some reason with our first yorkie, we wanted the perfect name....my son wanted an english name.....we scoured the internet for about 3 days before finally deciding on Winston. A fellow yt member adorame liked it & said it sounded very important.....like Lord Winston of Yorkshire Manor!! Enjoy your new puppy!!
