| Hey, guys---please take some time to welcome and offer condolences to a new member Cocoangel. Her little furbaby broke her leg, the doc did surgery to pin the break because it wasn't healing correctly, and the little girl died. She is heartbroken and wants to know why this happened. Thanks for caring.

| Oh dear...I'm so sorry! I thought you were just going to say she was having a tough time with a broken leg! How sad! My friend's mini poodle had the same thing done, but she did fine. You just never know. Cocoangel, I'm so sorry for you and your little one; may she rest in peace and may you find healing for your heart.

| Sorry about being unclear about my messge. Cocoangel posted on her own profile page about her little girl furbaby. Guess I meant to go to her profile page and say a little something to her. She's obviously isn't aquainted with how things go around here. Well, half the time I'm not either.

| Oh, wait a moment, the only way you can go to her profile page is to go through the statistics page. I go through the new members and post a welcome. That is how I came across her messge. She sounded so lost an in shock.

| THIS IS WHAT SHE WROTE: "My Coco broke her leg on Memorial Day when she jumped out of her grandma's arms. She went in for surgery this past Monday. (The bone was not healing so the vet wanted to repair with pins.) Coco's little heart stopped just as the surgeon was closing the incision. I believe it was the anesthesia. Both my vet and the surgeon could not give me a definitive reason for what happened. I'm told that broken bones are very common among the delicate toy breeds, especially the smaller yorkies. (Coco was 3.8 lbs.) Has anyone's baby ever encountered broken bones? Had this surgery? My family and I are devastated and still in shock. She was a beautiful, spunky, healthy little bundle of joy. Her little sister is so sad and lonely without her. I just need some answers as to how this could have happened! Does anyone know how long this type of surgery normally takes? Perhaps she was under for too long for such a little dog???"

| Thank you, doggiemama. yes, I'm still in shock and can't find my way around the house, let alone a new forum! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. There seems to be a lot of wonderful friends I haven't met yet on this forum, who are offering up prayers and condolences for my Coco. Thank you to everyone and I hope to talk with you all individually, soon. |

| Welcome to the YT forum. I wish it was under better circumstances though. That's so terribly sad about your Coco, I'm sorry. I'm sure her little sister and you are quite a comfort to each other in this time of need.

| Oh my goodness sweetie.. I am so sorry. Sometimes it is an anesthetic mistake.... sometimes there is something underlying that wasn't forseen... Sometimes it can be that her body had so much pain that she couldn't handle the extra surgery.. but most likely there are just no answers. It sometimes just cannot be predicted how these little ones will react to surgery. Please don't beat yourself up. She is in a happy place now and you will see her again some day.
