Amanda350, while I understand how emotional we all get about these horrible puppy mills, I just have to speak up and say that Nancy was right. It may not be illegal or whatever, but it is wrong. Saying that there's a better way to do something does not mean we support that type of breeder/ puppy miller. It just means that we want to go about it in a way we can feel good about.

The ends don't always justify the means. IMHO.

Good luck with your plan to help stop the greeder the OP was talking about.

Oh I agree that it is wrong. And I agree that 2 wrongs don't make a right..But I would sleep better with the image of a pissed off credit card company CEO laying by his pool out back of his million dollar mansion than I would of a poor little innocent, underweight, unhealthy, non socialized, sick, depressed little Yorkie mama serving a life sentence without the possibility parole.......But that is JMHO!!!

The fraud lies in the fact...the op would have to sign an affidavit stating she did NOT authorize that payment...when in fact...she did. Not to mention the fact...her credit card billing information would've been provided at the time of the deposit so it matches the information on her account. Gee, my card was stolen...but someone gave out my billing address?

I wouldn't go through with the purchase...and I'd consider the 200 bucks a lesson learned.

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies! You didn't scare me off :-) Friday was my birthday and I had a busy weekend with no time to get on the computer... I understand all of your concerns, I really do. I also wish I would have found this site sooner... but unfortunately I didn't... but now I feel like I should get this little guy out of there and give him a better life. If one of my children were sick (or had the possibility) I wouldn't change my mind about them... I would get them taken care of. That's the way I feel and I'm sorry you probably don't agree. I wouldn't have knowingly agreed to purchase this little guy from her if I had been better informed... but again, unfortunately, I wasn't.

Amanda - What happened with your hubby? Mine is also an officer (we were both in the academy when we met) but we live in a larger city and don't typicall see puppy mills.

Thank you ladies for all of your advice/concern. It's comforting to know there are people like you out there :-) (Now, please don't hate me when I get this little guy).

Hope all goes well for you and the new baby. After you get him outa there, bust them. Yell from the rooftops, I still think the news investigative reporters would help you get the word out and maybe help save some puppies in the process. I'd call every available resource in the law enforcement as well. Oprah, The mayor, state government, Bill Oreilly, CNN, FOX... everyone. I'm glad you posted the website. I'd like to hear what Amanda hubby discovered.

My husband spoke with a Lt from Wilson Cty and he is going to go there on Monday and speak with her.. If he feels like the animals are in poor condition, he will call a rescue and seize them all... She breeds horses also...So we wait until Monday and see what happens........

Well my husband called the Lt that said he would go there and apparently he went on vacation Tuesday so we have to wait until he gets back to see if he went there. I personally called the Sheriff's office and an uncaring dispatcher said ok, I will send someone there... I know that nothing has happened because I took Kallie's pups to the vet and they told me that the woman met a potential buyer at their office to look at a puppy.. The vet asked the breeder in front of the buyer if she had any health concerns on any of the puppies (she brought 9) and she said no. The woman paid for her puppy and left and then the breeder said oh hey doc, I have one that I want you to look at, he is dying and she walked out to her HOT car, no windows down and not running, and brought in this sick little boy pup. She had sold him, and she said the people did not want to feed him wet food so they brought him back for a refund.. The vet said that it was untrue because they had brought him there and he was diagnosed with parvo....so they took him back.. Well the breeder apparently called back hours later to argue with the doctor about the diagnosis. She felt like the vet was wrong, even though she has lost over 2 dozen puppies in the last month.. I am not sure when this officer is coming back to work so we can find out if he went over there.. Apparently he did not because I cannot imagine anyone thinking there was nothing wrong with the conditions at her house.. The only problem I see, is that she has a gate that you have to get out and open to get your car through and then close it back and then drive up the drive.. maybe the cops cannot go through it without permission... Does anyone have any suggestions... She breeds AKC dogs.... Can't they do something?

Wow, that's crazy! I can't believe she's lost over two dozen puppies lately and still thinks there's nothing wrong!! You would think that (even being an uncaring, puppy mill lady) she would want to get them all healthy, even if it's just for profit in the end! That's horrible!! I would feel obligated to tell the lady that just bought the new puppy from her the truth! How sad!

There has to be something that can be done! It's fraudulent for the breeder to sell the puppy to a lady when she knows it's been exposed to parvo (well, it sounds like she's in denial about it though!) Wow!
