How did you make your deposit and when? If you did it through paypal and it is coming out of a credit cared or checking acount, you can stop payment on it.. It will probably cost you $30 but it is well worth it.. Heck, even lie and tell them you did not do it.. that someone stole your card...Just don't support this horrible woman...

Please don't advise people to commit fraud, she could get in serious trouble for this, plus it's wrong. My credit card company has been very helpful with me when I changed my mind about certain things.

It's not fraud unless she receives a profit from it and she is not.. She will still have to pay them the fees that they charge for cancelling the payment therefore the credit card company is not out any money.. Not all credit companies are so nice so I am saying if all else fails, try that. She can ask God for forgiveness later but in the meantime she can rest assured that she is not supporting a puppy mill.. I am not a liar, but if it is a last resort to attempt to save this puppies mother from a life of horrible unsanitized breeding, then so be it..

I don't know if you've had time to read through our sick and injured section here on YT, but $200 is a drop in the bucket compared to the vet bills you will most likely have to deal with if this is a puppy mill. At the very least you will need to be concerned about kennel cough, ear mites, fleas, ticks, digestive issues (from very low quality food), a lack of socialization...and on and on.

I really hate to give people bad news like this, but you need to know now so you can get back as much as possible.

A good place to look for reputable breeders are from your local YTCA. You can even write or email them for a list of members. You can also find many reputable breeders here on YT, but ask for references and check the number of posts and length of membership.

Feel free to talk to any of us. We will gladly help in any way we can.

Excuse me? It is fraud, when you lie and say something was stolen when it was not. Before she meets God, she might meet an earthly judge who isn't so forgiving. It's poor advice.

It is a lie when you say something is stolen when it wasn't, not fraud.. It is fraud if you knowingly file a false police report (or receive financial gain from such lie) and noone is asking her to do that.. I actually had a similar experience once (not with a dog) and when I called the credit card company, they said that the easiest way to handle the situation was for them to mark my card as LOST or stolen and then refund my money... The lost/stolen system for credit cards is and internal company system, not a joint task force that goes looking for the suspected theif.. It is for their records only and if that is the only way to save a dog then I have no quams about telling her to do so... Anyways, back to the subject of the thread....My husband is a Police Officer and he will be joined with the TBI doing a warrants round up all over the state of TN.. Wednesday, he will be in her county and he is sending uniformed officers over to her house to check out the condition...(apparently in Wilson county, you have to call the police for animal cruelty allegations).. Anyways, atleast my husband will be there in uniform so the other officers will take the situation more seriously and we can get some results.. According to their laws in her county, if the officers see fit that the animals are being treated cruel, then they can authorize the Humane Association to come and seize the animals..

Fraud is a deception made for personal gain. The personal gain would be the money that she got out of paying because she lied. What happened between you and your insurance company is a different matter; you didn't lie to them, as far as you say here. Does your husband the police officer know you advise people to lie to their credit card companies? By the way, I do think it's rude for you to call me "honey". I'm not attacking you, I'm just warning people that they could be criminally as well as civil prosecuted for doing this.

Once again. learn the law.. You started the attack with your whole Excuse Me?? First of all, I never mentioned an insurance company so maybe you should go back and read the post again before you reply.. Second, she would not be gaining anything!!!! She would also not be contributing to such horrid breeding.. and Third, it is NOT a crime to report a credit card stolen, it is however a crime to steal a credit card...That is not what she is doing...It seems to me that you approve of this horrible breeder or that you yourself are just like her and have been screwed out of money before.. The only one losing in this whole thing would be the breeder who did not get her money....Or if she goes through with the sale, the poor dog that has to do it all over again in 6 months as I am sure the breeder does not skip a heat...I am done with this conversation!!

Ok now that we may have scared a new person off...lol Amanda I think what you and you husband have planned is a wonderful idea. If they do get seized and placed up for adoption let me know I'm always looking for a new baby to rescue. Plus I'm up in tn often due to hubby beings from there. Although I hated it. Hunt as to why we live in Alabama! Lol

i would just make sure (110% sure) that is a puppy mill. you might get countersued for defamation or things such as that.
those conditions break my heart, it is unquestionably horrendous and neglectful; but i would want you getting stuck in lawsuits

I agree with this - there is now a PUBLIC RECORD of this advice right here. There is another member on this very board who went to court - and there was information PULLED from YT that she had posted on here - and it was used in court. If you report a credit card stolen, and get caught for lying about that - you will find yourself in a whole lot trouble. AND, here is the public record of where the idea all started. Not good.
