| I LOVE my new vet!! So, some of you may have seen a post a made a few weeks ago that I was having trouble with my vet. Office was dirty, vet was rude, and Abbey got sick after they gave her a rabies shot in combination with many other shots!! That was the last straw so I found myself a new vet. The new vet is about 15 minutes out of town but so worth it!! Read on... First of all, they were so kind when I came in, generally excited to see Abbey, called her by name, wanted to hold her, so nice!!! Then they called me in immediately after I got there (I would wait over and hour after my scheduled appointment at the old one). I told her that she got sick after her last set of shots so they offered to give her benadryl shot before to ease her pain bc she is so small (weighs 4.2 pounds now!!)... I also told them her ear smelt funny and they checked in and sure enough it was filled with gunk!! ick. THEN I told them I had to go to work all day and I was worried about leaving her alone bc she got sick last time...well, they offered to let her stay at their office ALL DAY from 10am-3pm so they could observe her for FREE. My old vet would never have done that... I feel so good now knowing she is being watched!! THEN I told them I saw a tick in my house the other day (horrible I know, I live in a wooded area) and they offered to give her a Frontline treatment for FREE!! I'm so happy with my switch, lastly, they introduced me to their ON SITE groomer who was amazing!! She won Best Groomer for the past 2 years and is said to be excellent with puppies!! So I have found my new groomer as well. (I was so worried bc I made a post about this too, not wanting to take Abs to Petsmart!!) They were just wonderful there, I loved them and I am so glad I found a good vet esp bc I am getting Abbey spayed soon and wanted to find someone I trusted... I def have!! If anyone is in the San Marcos/Wimberly/ Austin, TX area I HIGHLY reccommend this vet!! Thanks for reading!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | That's just great, it's really important to find a vet you trust and to build a relationship with them. Good for you for seeking out someone better, so many people stay with the same one they hate, because it's "convenient".

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Good for you !!! I just tried a new vet Friday and hated it lol - wish I could say nice things but it was ALL ABOUT the money with him .....I researched them too ....My old vet in Sugar Land TX is by far my favorite and it's just too far for me since I moved - I don't blame you for being excited - you got lucky and found a good one |
