YT 1000 Club Member | If you look on tvguide it will tell you the future breeds they will be showing. I don't think they are showing old episodes and will be doing breeds they haven't done before.. so no Yorkies They did yorkies the 1st or 2nd season and I was hoping they would show the old ones... This week epidose is Great Pyrenees and they will be showing Bichon Frise next week. |

| I've seen it twice and was kinda disappointed on how they portrayed the breed. |

| They say that they should be called the "yorkshire terror" because they love to pick fights. All the yorkies that they showed were yapping and i felt that really gave a bad light at a dog that people feel yap as part of their nature. They only got "one treat for queit" because they say Yorkies are yappy. That drove me nuts. Layla is not a barker because I taught her not to. I dont' know. it just left a bad taste in my mouth. |

There is a stereotype of a small yappy dog. They say owners of small breeds aren't as likely to train the dogs as the owners of the larger breeds. I've never believed that "spoiling" included allowing a dog to do whatever it wants, however some people feel differently. Yorkies are smart, and many are just smarter than their human owners. I do agree with you, that you can train them not to bark. Regarding wanting to "pick fights with other dogs" I think many will say this is part of the "attitude" of a Yorkie, they may be small, but there letting the "big" dogs know, "you better not mess with me."
