| Oh how funny! I guess you have an Official Climber on your hands. Good luck. The next thing you know you will find her in all sorts of "no dog zones" -- the kitchen table, the counter, etc. etc. Now you will have to Yorkie Proof HIGH PLACES as well as Yorkie level places. My little Chizzie can CLEAR my 23" baby gate. Geez!!! she should try out for the olympic high jump! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh wow - You now officially have a Monkey-Yorkie and life will never be the same cause you can't gate her off ...she WILL do it again. I have one of those EXTRA high gates - and one day when I was out Cheri climbed over it and followed my hubby out the door - he had to CATCH her before she hit the street - he's sick and can't walk 10 feet without almost passing out. Needless to say - I got a phonecall saying to get my butt home .... Lucky he DID catch her but it was still a scare - We had NO idea she could get up and over it either - Chanel NEVER did that |

| When Destiny was just 10 weeks old her first night here we had her in a soft mesh sided baby play pen. We woke up that first morning and she was running around the room. We were shocked. We put her back in it and she immediatly started climbing out with absolutly no problem. We're so lucky she didn't hurt herself falling out the first time. We ended up having to put a cover on it. Clever little pups aren't they. LOL |

Oh yes, I know what you are talking about because I have a "monkey yorkie" too. Muffin has learned to climb out of the mesh sided playpen as well. I put her in it to do something for a minute and next thing I know I hear yelping. I go back and there she is hanging from the side by her paws about to jump over.

| Oh yeah, I like to garden and before I finally gave in and fenced my backyard, I bought one of those heavy duty plastic, make a fenced play area things. I thought, this is great, Chloe can enjoy the outdoors, have a little play area and I can garden to my heart's content. Wrong, she mastered that in seconds, she's my climber. |

| Our pom was a climber. She used blimb the backyard gate all the time. I woud see her in the front and wonder how in the world did she get there. So I put back i the back yard and stood in the front trying to catch her in the act. I though she was digging under the fence. I heard scratching and notice that is was coming from the gate. So I just waited and sure enough there she was. I see her 4 lbs body at the top and junp onto the trash cans. I cound not believe it. She would use teh 2 X 4s on the inner part of the gate for footing. so my husband had to carve wood panels on the inside so that she didn't have access to the 2 x 4's. She also had no problems climbing baby gate either. They were no problem for her. But then I got rid of the wired one and got a first years safety gate. insted of the wire it has two, clear double-thick panels. So that put a end to that. That's what I have now for Gus. Gus is also a climber. I caught him climbing my dresser,,, using the handles for footing to get to his favorte ball that I took away becuase he kept using my new comforter to clen it. That little brat!!!

| That is so funny!! I had a similar experience the first time I gated Gracie, but she did not climb she chewed a hole through the gate to get through...I had to buy an industrial made baby gate
