| weird about the top step! LOL. this is funny because at first i thought Kash was slow at learning how to come down the stairs, but i found out yesterday that he DOES know how!! he just doesn't like to do it from the very top step (well it's not actually a step. it's the floor, but it is the first step down on to the staircase). anyway, i just take him, and place him on the first step down, and he comes flying down them with ease! it's so weird that he won't take that first step down... i don't know what the difference is. oh well. i guess he'll learn eventually.

| That's funny. My pup does the same thing. My mom has carpeted stairs in her house and he goes up and down those with no problem. I however live in a studio above the garage so the outdoor steps are something different...he will race up them but when it comes to going down them that's another story. We are slowly increasing the number of stairs he goes down each week...I will carry him part of the way down and then set him down on a step and he will pop on down them....but he too, doesn't like the idea of the top step. I believe we are up to 8 or 9 steps now. He's doing great!!!

| Bailey took AGES b4 he came down them too. He didnt like them at all and would run up then find the door was shut at the top and sit and cry coz he couldnt get back down them. In the end i put a lead on him and gently tugged him down the first few steps till he got the right action going. i did this a few times and after the 5th time he was running up and down them. BTW how did a yorkie die coming down the stairs thats freaked me out coz bailey goes running down them like a bat out of hell eeek!!
