| scared of her dinner bowl Some of you may remember that I had to put Edie on a diet. The vet recommended that we stop free feeding and that we feed only twice per day. The bowl should stay down for only 15 minutes, and then we remove it whether the food is eaten or not. I never noticed this before, but Edie seems afraid to eat from her bowl. When I put her food on a paper towel on the floor, she eats it immediately. When it is in the bowl, she approaches it very tentatively. I think she hates it when her tags clink on the metal bowl. But even when her collar is off, she seems afraid of it. Anyone else with this problem? Is there something I am missing here? |

| I have the same problem with Rainbow. She refuses to stick her face in a bowl. So now I use a small plate and I have to push the food close to the edges all around to get her to eat.

| Try a shallow plastic dish. It could be her tags hitting it like you said. How long has she been showing this fear? |
