| My Odie Hi. I'm new and have posted once before. I posted about my terrier mix Odie getting neutered. I probably could have added onto that thread. Still getting used to this board. Update, Odie's doing greeeat. He's back to himself, trying to run around even though I tell him he can't be running around like a maniac because the vet said so. He's eating, playing, and even which is strange to me, he's sleeping on me. He's never done that before. I mean he's sat in my lap and all, but I was laying on the couch being lazy and he jumped right up and snuggled in and fell right asleep. Which is okay by me. I got on update on my new little girl last night as well. She's gotten a clean bill of health, she's 2lbs, at 8 weeks. I got a history on her family tree, both parents are 5 pounds. The breeders last litter the two puppies grew to be 5 pounds as well. Grandparents, on both sides males were 3 1/2 pounds, grandmothers were 4 pounds and 4 1/2 pounds. I figure her to be around 6-7 pounds grown. Which is a good size because Odie's 9 pounds and they should be able to play together just fine. My cat is a different story he's 14 pounds. He loves his food! I will post pics of all my babies when the little girl comes to join the family. In the meantime I may try to post pics of Odie if I can figure out how. Thanks for welcoming me on my last post everyone. I love this place. |

| Sounds like you are going to have a very nice sized family. It's great that Odie is feeling so well, but not great that he wants to be so active and causing you concern. You are going to have so much fun with new furbaby, a girl at that. Fun, fun, fun. Yep, your kitty is big. We have a part Himalayan kitty that was determined to kill my Chipper when we first got him. I had to be very, very careful. Tall gates. To make the long story short---we went on vacation, she was very lonely, decided it was more fun to play with Chipper than try to kill him. They are best of friends now and play. I still watch and keep them separated when I am not home. Good luck as your family increases.
