| What can I do? I was looking through online ads in near by newspapers (I don't know why, I can't help myself) and saw an ad for a bunch of mixed breed toy puppies. It listed a website in the ad so I went to it and it looks like a puppymill to me. It's about an hour and a half north of me but these dogs look pitiful to me. Tons of dogs, all in cages/kennels, feces everywhere, I can't even begin to imagine how these poor dogs are dealing with this heatwave we're having So what would you suggest I could do? Call the local SPCA? What would I tell them? Go up there? I'm worried if I did go up there, all h*ll would break loose because I'm not a very 'calm and collected' person when it comes to something like this, and I fear I'd end up in jail or something. Plus, I think I read somewhere that millers like to shoot tresspassers Here's a link to the site if anyone cares to take a look: http://www.flashbackkennel.com/index.html Anyone have any ideas? |

| Looks like a puppymill to me. Call the local ASPCA or animal shelter. If they dont seem to interested right away keep calling them until they check it out. Check it out for yourself if you can, take some one with you that is calm and will keep things under control. |

| the cages look somewhat clean and i didnt see any obvious infections or cruelty... BUT you might want to call your local animal control or police and have them check it out just to be safe. there are a whole lot of dogs there by the looks of it... |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | hmmmmm i think they're a puppy mill. only because of how many breeds/animals they have. if you don't think you could control yourself then i wouldn't suggest going up there. maybe you should call the SPCA. tell them that you suspect a puppy mill, not that they are one. good luck! let us know what happens!!!

I'd make an appt, to the peeting zoo, then SPONTENOUSLY say " oh you have puppies, and ask to see them, SInce you're already there. See how they react. All those cages, make me

| I agree with you guys, looks like a puppymill to me too - how can ALL of those dogs get the kind of love and care they deserve?!!! They can't! And obvoiusly nobody cares about who breeds with who b/c there are puppies of all kinds there! That's crazy. Those poor dogs.

| I have to agree. Someone needs to go out there and check their "facility". I don't think inspectors need an appointment do they? Id call everyone from the heath department to the spca. They are back yard breeding at the very least. They are doing this as a business. They have SEVERAL breeds. That alone sets off a red flag!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | i didn't see the thing about an apointment. maybe they need to make an appointment so they have time to make it look "presentable". JMO.

| I agree! I think that this place is a puppy mill, but it isn't as extreme as some other ones that I've seen. I do not know where in CA you live, but if I were you, I would call the Central California SPCA (http://www.ccspca.com/) They might be able to do something. Good luck! You are a great person for reporting this place! |

| I don't know, I think there is a fine line these days by what is legal and what is not. It is not illegal to have several breeds or a kennel as long as they are taken care of under certain guidelines. But I have been to Corning, it's very ag and would probably be a good place to hide a puppy mill. But a lot of the pictures of the adults are in the home and look taken care of. I don't see the feces. I see cages outside but that doesn't mean they stay out there. Have you emailed the lady to ask questions? I would start there first. And make an appt to go see if you truly believe there is something up with this kennel. |

| I don't see this as a puppy mill. A lot of people breed multiple breeds. If they are decently kept, I wouldn't turn them in. This is the problem I have with the "puppy mill" disignation. I have seen puppy mills with filthy kennels or cages and mistreated animals with no fresh water, in their own feces etc., these just don't seem to fit the bill from the pictures. If you have been there and seen different - that would be cause, I guess. |

| I got this one heheehheee It's in my area about an 1/2 hr away! I did a reverse phone check and it's in a farming area in gerber Ca. Im going to go there tomorrow! Im going to call and and request a visit because Im looking for a puppy not a specific breed! this way I might be able to wander the whole ranch pondering what type of dog I want! I'll let you know when I get back, that is if its possible for me to get an appt or what ever is required to come on the property! Im taking my camera and im going to ask them nicely if I can take pix's of some pups to help me to decide which one I want! socal any legal advice? |

| I guess I agree with some of the others that have seen such terrible conditions as I. I don't think it looks all that bad but I wonder how many dogs are out there?? I also know the pictures on the site may not all be hers and the place may be a nightmare when you go out there. This woman in Nashville had a beautiful site. all stolen pictures. She sent the same pictures my mail to everyone and the same video (only bred Maltese) gave a 5 yr guarantee Ha!! not in writing, it was just good for her advertising so that guarantee was worth nothing . They closed her down and they took 230 horribly sick dogs out of that house and the pictures made me sick. She shipped alot and met people half-way (I think that is always a red flag) I think it's wonderful you are going out to check - I have worked hard to do something about one here but you have to be careful. I think I would think twice about taking a camera the first time out. If it's a mess they might clean things up if they think you may be turning her or him in to the authorities. Later if they need proof to take to court you might have someone go out that hasn't been there but it's really the job of the ASPCA to do that. Good Luck - hope it's not as bad as you think. With Yorkies, I like a breeder who only breeds Yorkies. Joan & Crystal
