Pampered Butt! Well, Yoda, Mr. Pampered Butt, NEVER sits on our hardwood floors, or marble, or tile flooring. No, it's much too cold for his rear. We've even tried to give him treats, but he refuses! Just like when he's eating, he wants a nice soft carpet to lay on, or some type of pillow when he sits! Anyone else have a stubborn Yorkie that refuses to sit on cold surfaces? :P

Pillow Pups! Our ol' Pogo has been a Pillow Pup ever since we got him at 7 weeks. STILL likes to have a pillow for his head. And Higgins definitely does NOT like the kitchen floor. Hardly ever steps on it, prefering to eat his meals on the dining room carpet. He'll grab one little crunchy and race to the rug to eat it. Another odd thing, when we were camping, several campsites were outlined in 8"x8" wooden beams to contain the gravel pads, and Higgins loved/preferred to walk on those wooden beams. Guess it felt better on his little foot pads than walking on stones. Another oddity with Higgy: Ever since we got him a 7 1/2 weeks, he lifts his little right front leg when he is sitting or standing concentrating on something. Sort does his Pointer Dog imitation. It's really cute! Is this a Yorkie thing?

I've noticed the dine and dash, Yoda would actually prefer to eat in our bedroom (with the plushest carpet in the house) but of course we don't let him do that. So then, he takes it to the living room, where we have a nice rug covering the room. He used to have "accidents" on it when he was little, but now he's a good boy! Yes, I've seen Yoda in his "front right paw up" pose looking and thinking about what to do next. And it is one of his cuter positions, I don't think I've managed to catch that in a picture quite yet. :P

Otis is the opposite! I often find him sprawled out on cold surfaces, trying to cool off! He has three beds, plus access to the sofa, and even with all that available to him, sometimes he still prefers to lay on the hardwood floor. I think I have one hot-blooded Yorkie.

Must be the climate out there in Cali! Well, when the sun invades the house, Yoda loves to lay on the hardwood floor (provided said surface is warm). He will lay outside in the sun on the cement if it's hot enough as well. That's about it. He likes plopping down in the grass after running around like a maniac! Yoda went to Grandma's house yesterday and ran like wild through the field, he was at full sprint for at least a minute when he saw his Aunt and cousin.
