| age by weeks or date? i was wondering how fellow YTers determine their baby's age... by weeks or by the date they were born?? for example, Kash was born on Dec. 8... so if i go by weeks, he'll be 6 months old this saturday, but if i go by the date (the 8th), he'll be 6 months old on June 8. i assume going by weeks determines they're EXACT age, yes? and maybe most people stop counting by weeks after their furbaby hits the 1 year mark because, from that point on, you should just count by years instead of months, right? or wrong? lol. just curious!

| I don't know, we got into this discussion about a month ago. I had the same dilemma. I think my vet said they go by weeks for vaccinations.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I counted by weeks. 4 weeks equals 1 month....12 weeks...3 months. Reggie will be 5 months this Sunday. We celebrate birthdays on their birthdates. I quit counting weeks a long time ago for Ramsey and Reese. She's 2 1/2, he's 1 1/2.

| At my vet, they counted by weeks until Meeko turned 5 months old. Now his paper work goes by months. He's 7 months now.

| I went by weeks, but it got confusing. 4 weeks is only 28 days. Some months have 30 days, so after 3-4 months you need to add another week right??

| funny, i was thinking the same thing the other day. by weeks, tessa will be 25 weeks tomorrow which is more than 6 months...but by months, she will not be 6 months until the 30th. very confusing LOL cuz me being pregnant, when I was 24 weeks, i said I was 6 months...and so on.
