| Does your yorkie dig holes? If so, how do you get them to stop? |

| Only 1 of my Yorkies digs, she doesn't dig holes outside though, she will frantically dig holes in our walls, if I don't catch her doing it she will dog so far down that it will go through the sheetrock! She's such a naughty girl! LOL I have had to spray that "stay off" spray on my walls, all the way through my kitchen and living room at her level so that she won't do it. It does help but I have to spray it about 2 or 3 times a month to keep her away. I am not sure how to get them to stop from digging outside. I hope you get some great anwsers, I am sure you are not the only one that is going/ or have gone through the digging stage. How old is your baby? |

| Mine both dig too! They dig up little rocks. They act like its buried treasure. Charlie will bring them to me and set them on my leg. I think there is something you can spray on the grass (like bitter apple) that is supposed to stop them from digging, but I haven't tried it. We caught them in the act one day (the evidence was all over their cute little faces). |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | A trainer once taught me to stop any dog from digging holes...place feces in the hole and cover back up. Do this each and every time....eventually the dog thinks...this entire yard smells like crap. I have never had a need to use this method for my yorkies, but it worked for a golden retriever we once owned.

| Tink will only dig holes if I am working in the veg garden. Once I have finished there, she comes away and forgets about it until I start working there again. Here is my little helper!

| Autumn is a HUGE digger, she digs crater's in the flower bed. She digs so fast and furiously that the dirt is flying up behind her. Blaze will only dig in the hole after she has finished digging. He never seems to be the one who starts!

| Kalina will dig like crazy. She digs holes big enough to bury herself in. I don't know how to stop her. She won't listen!

| HOLES???? mine dont dig holes! they dig MASSIVE craters!!! they are trying to get to china!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrr. ill try the feces thing. but the only thing i have found that works is geting those landscape timbers and placing them all the way around my fence to keep them from trying to dig out under the fence. but now they are digging right by the back porch and making tunnels or at least trying to go under the porch!!! and its a solid concrete foundation porch and yet they still try! its a constant nightmare! but we have caught them in the act and still im catching them, right now as im typing this...i can hear little tags jingling and feet scraping away...!!!! anyway good luck with it! i think it is just persistence....ill try the fecal thing i hope to God that it works!! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Mine are only garden helpers too. Unfortunately Reggie thinks helping...means biting off the blooms on flowers.

| Betty will suddenly have a digging frenzy...fast and furious, until I make her stop. Little Juju digs real daintily (only about an inch deep) looking for little acorn-type things. When she finds one of her treasures, she lies down with it for awhile, savoring it...then she eats it! It is a huge deal for her.
