| Playing outside My 7 month old loves to be outside. My concern is that he does not seem to want to go to a shady place when he is panting. Today was the warmest we have had , 80, and I put him on his outdoor tether. I had my chair outside and had his food and water. I noticed that he started to pant a lot but would not get under the chair or on the porch steps to get out of the sun. He is still primarily black from his neck down and is cut as a puppy so everything is very short. Is this normal? Will they find shade on their own or do I have to force him into it. This is the first time he has been out in the nice weather. |

| Milo loves to play and lay in the sun, as long as he has water he is good. If he is not going to the water on his own you might want to offer it to him. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My yorkies seem to like to lay in the sun, my pom always seeks the shade. I would just not keep him out too long and make sure he has water.

| I agree...2 of mine thrive on laying in the sun on the concrete in the driveway when we are outside... it can be 90 degrees and there they are. I usually call them in to give their bodies a little break!
