| I dont have any other dog but I know when I take Gracie to the doggie park and there are labs and other bigger dogs... Gracie will get scared if they all come up to sniff her at once... but if its just one she will let them sniff and be submissive to them... but Gracie is not use to other dogs here since she is the only child! lol I have seen alot of other people on here that have bigger dogs... that their babies get along GREAT!!! I see that the bigger dogs think that our little yorkies are their pups... its really cute to see some of the videos on here...

| Just lately I have been on several profile pages (can't remember who) where there were Yorkies and larger dogs playing. It might have been under the "video" section of YT. I have a Pommie who is 3 lbs. heavier than Chipper, a 4 lb. Yorkie. Snowboy isn't quit a yr. yet, and I feel that he is not responsible enough to realize when he has pushed it too far. When I leave, they always go into separate ex-pens. I also watch them when they're into rough play. Chipper is pretty good, though, at getting upset with Snowboy and letting him know it. Snowboy backs down. This is just my experience.

| Fritzel and Bud, my American Bulldog get along great. They don't play together but they like each other and share food. All my dogs like to play with people but they don't play together for some reason.

| My Teddi is barely 3 lbs and I have a Standard Poodle - they get along great. Teddi also LOVES my dad's German Shephard and they play together a lot.

| My husband has a working Belgiun Malinois Shepard who for a living tears up humans (literally) but when he comes home he is dominated by Yorkies! He is very gentle with both Peppee and Zoe.

| I don't have other dogs, but Archie does have two Golden Retriver "girlfriends" that belong to good friends of mine. He definitely holds his own with them and even spent a week with them when I went away on a trip. My friends reported that they all did great together and that their (60-pound) dogs were very mindful of his small size. The older dog basically ignored him, but the younger one, who is just a little minx, was more playful (though my friends were careful to monitor her interactions with Archie) Archie is very quick and gets out of the way fast! He likes to get up on a couch or chair (at eye-level with the Goldens) and do his little "flirty dance."

| I have both Rambeau joined a VERY large pack. We have two chocolate labs 100lbs and 110lbs big boys who have gotten into several horrendous fights with each other even though they are brothers. We had two little doxies before we got the boys and the labs were cowed by the little ones. Rambeau weighs 3lbs and tears those two up. He growls, snaps and hangs off of their lips and they do nothing. He even gets into their tug-o-wars and gets thrown about but they never hurt him. Probably because I am the dominant and they know it would not be pretty if they laid a paw on him. However I would never suggest bringing a little dog into this situation and if you did he would have to be monitored constantly. If the big dog is a puppy the older (little) dog should gain dominance easily, just keep an eye on them |

| I've got a 5.6lb male and a 3.5ishlbs female Yorkie and they hold their own and "rough house" with the larger dogs with out issue. (Larger dogs being- Akitas; Black Russian Terrier and American Bulldog right now) If I leave the house, the Yorkies are locked up seperate from the big dogs JUST IN CASE.....if I am not in the house to keep an ear out or an eye on them to supervise, it's not worth risking and so I lock them up. No issues here! |

| My Mika is 3lbs at the moment, I also have a staff and an Old English Sheepdog! they all play well together, my bigger dogs are super gentle with Mika, Owen (OESD) even lies down so Mika can jump all over him! My bigger dogs were well socialized before I got Mika so I knew there wouldn't be a problem. Plus they are used to being around small puppies as I breed staffs! If you're thinking of adding a bigger dog I suggest getting a puupy!

Yes, it would be a puppy as my BF's uncle breeds GSDs ( and i LOVE GSD) or a husky/malamute type puppy since those are what BF likes. it would be likely in 6 months to a year depending upon when we move among other factors. by then my pup should be past the 1 year mark. I wish I could get one now so they could be puppies together but it is just not feasible at the moment.

| I have a male & female Yorkie, my husband has a male & female AmStaff. The AmStaffs have a large pen on the side of our house - My Gizmo currently weighs 4.3 lbs at 10 months, he is small enough to walk between the bars of the pen. He goes in walks up to the food bowl and the 2 bigs dogs back up & lay down and wait until Giz is done eating before moving to the food again. Babs is my 4 year old teapot and she weighs in at a hefty 11 lbs - the only animal in the house that doesn't bow down to her is my son's 11 year cat Katrina - she is the maitriarc (spelled wrong) of the furbutts and my second in charge (we call her the surrogate mom because she cuddles my skin babies & Babs pups so Babs can have a few alone minutes). I agree with what someone else said, when adding a big breed bring in a pup.
