| Just learning on this site... never heard of "teapot" size before... it is for real or you just made it up right now? Are there people really classifying their sizes and using this word? Mine is 5 pounds about what is he called?

| There are lots of threads started about teacup and teapot . Lots of breeders claim to have teacup yorkies. There really is no such thing as teacup ,they just have tiny pups. The teapot started out as a joke from someone on here I think that had a slightly larger then standard size yorkie and I just think its a cute term for the ones that are a little larger. |

| I love the term "teapot." Think it is very endearing. Glass china teapots are beautiful so that is what I think about when I hear the term "teapot." Now, again, when I hear "teacup" I don't have a positive reaction. Too much negative about it anymore.

| I believe the 'standard' size is between 4 and 7 lbs. Folks on YT lovingly use the term 'teapot' for Yorkies over the 7 lb. mark...and usually a good bit over that mark! My Betty weighs around 11 lb. Some actually weigh over 20 lb.! So much to love!!!! Below 4 lb is just considered a small Yorkie. There aren't any 'teacup' or 'toy' designations.
