| When I used anything, I would apply a very good moisturizer or sometimes an antibiotic ointment in the winter to Muffins foot pads, because we went for a lot of walks and I didn't want her feet to get sore. Now, she was old, so I did watch her pads more carefully then, but I always babied her and I'll admit I did always put stuff like that on her pads. She loved her feet massaged, so this was a way to put something on them and massage her feet at the same time. |

| I have found that shea butter works really well on their paw pads. Better than the products that they sell for dogs feet. |

| I was told by my vet not to put moisturizers on their pads as they could make them soft and then it would be painful to walk. Puppies pads are soft until they've been walking around on concrete for a while and then they toughen up.
