| Yes they do have tails when they are born but they are docked when they are a few days old. In some Countries it is illegal to dock the tail so they dont do it there

| The AKC standard is to have the tail docked. However, I think there are many people who wish this were optional.

| Tail docking is also CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) requirement but I know in some countries it is now banned.

Reggie is a biewer yorkshire terrier....you can see his tail here...not a very good picture of it though. It curls up over his back.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | The problem with that is a yorkie's tail is docked at 3 days old.

YT 1000 Club Member | I think the only way you would get the option to keep the tail would be to find a good breeder that is getting ready to have a litter and talk to them about the possibility. The only problem with that would be unless you are really good friends with the breeder, most breeders would be hesitant unless there was some guarantee you wouldn't back out of buying the puppy.
