| Coat color question Hey all, I have a question about coat color. From the beginning Ranger had a really light head, but now after he got groomed yesterday and the black puppy hair got chopped off his little head, it is completely white! The white hair on his head blends to light silver then to grey, which is the rest of his body. However, his legs and little tummy are that same super light blond color. His daddy was super silver, but he's not seeming like he'll be that light, but I guess I don't know how their coat develops into light silver. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

| Jake was still pretty black at a year. The tan had started to lighten to more of a blonde, and he started getting lots of silver on his head. Then, the rest of his body started changing to silver and gold, which is what it is now. He will be a two in July. I've attached a couple recent pictures of him for you. The last pic shows what his coloring was about a year ago. I love watching the changes!

| I dont have an answer, but I will be interested to see what others have to say as Diesel is seemingly the same way, or heading that way.

| Teddi was black and tan when I got her but they told me her color would be tan and steel blue so I knew she was going to be that color.

I know what you mean, that's how Jake's was when he first started changing. It's funny, if I'm walking him and kids see him, they ask me if he's old. I guess because they see "grey" hair lol Jackson is my other boy who is darker to begin with. He has very little silver on his body, but he's getting some on his head. I think he will stay dark though.
