| who leaves their baby home alone all day while at work ? My baby is 7 months old and i just got my first apartment with her. The thing is that i leave her alone all day while im at work. I know that many people do it but my thing is that i need to get a second job to pay my rent. I wont be doing it all week only about 2 or 3 day out of the week. What can i do to make it a bit easier for her |

| Bailey & Dozer are left home alone during the day if I have to work. I work part time (20 - 25 hrs/week) and most of my shifts are at night (when my fiance is home) but occasionally I will have to work during the day. When that happens, Bailey goes in his crate. Dozer has free roam of the house, but he's 17 months old and has been 100% potty trained for a year now. He's also over his 'chewing phase.' Bailey's fine in his crate (has never pottied in it) but I just don't trust him to have free roam yet. I would get an X-Pen but we just don't have any room for one |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | How many hours alone are you talking about? Sounds like a lot if you'll be working two jobs. If that's the case, I agree with Megan. Enlist a neighbor, hire a kid, or maybe even drop her off at a friend's house for part of the day.

| I am in Staten Island..which probably will defeat the whole purpose of getting a second job since the toll is like 10.00 but I would watch your baby at night when I get home..what is one more and Maximus would enjoy playing with someone!!

| I agree that you should either have someone come to let them out and play for a bit or drop the puppy off somewhere while you are at your second job. That really is alot for the puppy to be by himself. He will probably be so loney, and he needs time to play and go potty. Try to find someone, I would feel terrible about leaving that baby home alone for so long.

| I live in Brooklyn too. If you need someone to watch your baby at night, feel free to drop her off at my house. I'm SURE Codie & Katie will love to play with her!

| Wow you guys are so generous for offering to watch her baby. LOL about the toll -- that's what I've heard. Stewie is home alone for about 5 to 6 hours a day at most and has free roam of the living room and kitchen. He mostly lies on the couch all day with Animal Planet on or looks out our bay window and people watches. I'm sorry I'm of no help. Maybe you can take Jennifer and Angela up on their offer!

| Maybe we can all take turns and help babysit her little Pixie. Ya know, there are A LOT of us Brooklyn (and Staten Island) girls. We should all meet up one day! I know the next Yorkie Meet-Up is in Manhattan on August 20th, but that's still a long way off.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | You guys offering to dog sit are incredible. What a great idea. All dog owners should have a network like that.
