| Potty problems My Yorkie baby Jasmine will only potty in our back yard. I took her to visit my daughter and shw would not potty in her yard. I brought her in the house and what did she do? Right you are, she immediately went to potty on the carpet. I tried taking her to my front yard, she would not potty there either. What is wrong with her, and what can I do? |

| Well....Maximus won't potty outdoors..PERIOD!!!, only on his wee-wee pads or random pieces of paper, napkin, books and he LOVES area rugs!!1 I attributed this to him peeing only trained on wee-wee pads BUT if she is trained to go outdoors I don't know why she wouldn't pee there..maybe she was just excited and was too busy to pee (from playing) and then when she got inside she let it all out??

| That's irritating, isn't it?! Tinkerbell did this at my mom's house when we first starting going over there. My mom has other dogs and I don't think Tinkerbell liked to pee where they pee. She eventually got over it as we visited more. She goes no problem now. Sorry no advice really, just keep trying. Maybe she doesn't feel safe or comfortable and just needs to get used to a new place. I'm sure the more new areas you expose her to, the better it will get. |

| I would go out and buy a bottle of that spray stuff that stimulates a dog to go pee. It gives the scent of urine and helps the puppy to recognize the right area to go pee. If you carry that with you when you go places and spray in the area you want her to go pee, she will do it, if you give her enough time. She will also learn to go anywhere (on grass) after a while. This is what we did with our little one and she has no problem going on grass anywhere we go (i.e. side of the road, shopping areas, parents house, ect.) |

| Wonderful idea Ladylavendar! I am about to leave for a trip and have worried about this very thing once we get to where we are headed so this will help greatly.
