| Baby after spaying! I need some much needed advice! I had my six month old puppy spayed 6 days ago. The day after I got her home she started throwing up and could hardly stand up. Took her back to the vet who thought it was the pain meds. Gave her a couple of shots for glucose. She was better the next day. Three days later she is having diarrea, every 3-4 hours and won't eat or drink anything! Can't call the vet until tomorrow. I am new to this breed and I am panicking. |

| Get some canned pumpkin with a little Kayro syrup, put it on your finger and put it in her mouth, also get some Pedialyte and if you have a dropper put it in her mouth. So sorry. PM me is you want too.

| Thanks so much for the info! I gave her what you suggested and within about a half an hour I could see a difference in her! She drank the pedialyte without any problem. Hopefully the diarrea will clear up soon! She's not partial to the butt wiping!! |

| She had a really rough night. Lots of throwing up and diarrea. Took her in first thing this morning. Her incision was fine, no fever. They gave her a lactated ringers shot. They also put her back on pain meds and an antibiotic and something for vomiting. She also got some canned food for a few days. Much better when I got home tonight! So hopefully after a weeks worth of meds she will be good as new. I was so scared during the night that she wasn't going to make it! Thanks for your postings and your concern, it is greatly appreciated. Lauri |
