Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Really sad but informational I have a friend (she actually has two of my puppies) anyway, she has a friend who has a very small yorkie. It was about 6 or 7 months old. All of a sudden it got sick throwing up and then diareah. They rushed to the vet, had her on iv fluids, and once diagnosed were in route to UC Davis for treatment. The puppy died on the way. Here is a link for what it was diagnosed with. Wow, so scary. Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Linda, that is heartbreaking - I'm sorry! This actually reminds me of Diggy4's story (Paula) a bit ago - bc her babies became suddenly and violoently ill with same symptoms - and turns out it was clostridium, likely caught from an infected Bully Stick. HGE is often caused by clostridium (which can kill overnight) - so it makes me wonder if the friend happened to give the pup any form of treat - it would be something to look into for them, if appropriate. (?)
