| Pippa has a new baby brudder-she's mad! Hey everyone!! I have been looking for a baby boy Yorkie for a while now-I had harrassed my husband into getting one for my birthday in October. Long story-short, divine intervention happened and 10 week old Scout joined our family Friday night. Adorable little 1lb bundle of joy...very friendly, and gives out kisses with paws on your face freely. Pippa is soooo jealous! I don't know what to do....She is 11 months old, I thought still young enough to introduce a new one. She likes the puppy ok-she plays a bit-let's him chase her some, but she won't let me hold her, won't let me kiss her-she won't come when I call her. She gets on the top of the recliner and pouts and gives me sad looks when Scout is in my lap. She went on a hunger strike Saturday and Sunday. I have given her just as much attention as before, if not more-including taking her on long walks to her favorite play place-just me and her. Any advice would be great...and I will post pics of Scout in "My Yorkie" later tonight! Oh, and to add to it, she is also acting more agressively toward us as far as "play" biting, and also started shredding things, which she's never done before!

| Congrats on ur new puppy, awwwwww Pippa is jealous, they are so much like human kids, shes mad at her mommy now and making sure u notice it big time by shredding things, it takes time and before u know it they will be the best of friends, try and leave them together in a place where they cant see u and u stand and watch them, she most probably will act differently towards him when u are not around. Things that helped me a lot when we got Chanel was, putting Chelsey in Chanel's bed with her, letting her taste Chanel's food and treats, asking visitors to greet Chelsey first instead of walking up to Chanel to oeh and ahh, that would have really made her feel left out, pick them both up at the same time to cuddle!

| great advice! I called right before coming home tonight to tell my family to put Scout in his playpen before I get there so I can greet only Pippa with all the excitement coming home usually is. She responded great, and let me have some kisses....yay!!:-) I'm sure hoping she will come around and all this acting funny will stop soon. BTW, she also sniffs me after I've been holding baby Scout, then turns and walks disdainfully away...it would be funny if it didn't hurt my feelings so much!

| Pics are posted in the "My Yorkie" Forum!! Check out my cuties-I can't get a good shot of them together-she refuses, and he's too fast, as evidenced by the little soccer ball shot-I barely got it!

| Very cute picts I say just give it alittle time they will be best friends. I had my little Brownie for 2 years before we got our first yorkie Princess. She gave me the cold shoulder for a few days and still will not sit in my lap if someone else is already there but she loves her new sister now they are always playing. Also just a few weeks ago we got a new little boy yorkie and they are all playing together great so I say just give it a little time. Also keep giving her attention of her own. She will learn to love the new little guy. Good luck they are both so cute.

| So cute, I know they will get along, mine is so spoiled but when my son brought home a bigger breed pup, she plays with her!

| Lacy was mad at me when I first brought Cruz home. She didn't want to have anything to do with me or Cruz for almost a week. She'd stay by her daddy's side constantly. It was as if I was non-existent to her. Eventually she realized that he was a keeper and got over it! Now they're inseparable. Give it some time. Soon they'll be each others shadows!!! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Pippa sounds just like Chester. I had gotten Gracie when Chester was around that age and he did the same. Looked at me with those pitiful eyes and wouldn't come when called. Took about a week for him to adjust. Just hang in there. Sounds like you're doing everything right. Would love to see pictures!

| I want another one too but I fear how Gus will react. He is sooooooo much a mommy's boy. I wouldn't want him to hurt the new puppy. I was holding my cousins new puppy about 2 months ago,,, a cute tiny pom, and Gus was just looking at me and when I called him he wouldn't come to me while I was holding her. Afer putting her down, he came to me to pick him up and would not let me put him down.

| Gwen was jealous of Skippy too. If he would sit on my lap she would get off and sit on daddy's lap. If was grooming her and I bent down to pet him she'd jump off and hide on me. She's getting a little better with it. It just takes time. |
