| Jumped in the pond (he's okay) My little man jumped/fell in my mom's pound on Friday. I wasn't there, but my husband was. My husband took him down to my mom's to play with her dogs. My little guy loves the farm. One of his favorite things is to go to the pound when mom feeds the fish (like 100 blue gills, coy, & bass). The fish can here her coming and start flopping around along the shore. Well the last couple times he's gone the water level has been down so there's somewhat a shore on the pond. He would jump over the edge of the pond and run back and forth on the shore. Well with all the rain we've been getting the shore isn't there anymore. So on Friday he took off running and jumped over the pond edge expected to land on the shore and he landed in the pond. By the time he figured out what had happened he was a couple feet from shore, my mom was ready to go in after him. But he just turned around and swam back like a little trooper. Mom picked him up out of the water and wrapped him in her shirt to dry him off a little and then put him down. but he decided he didn't want to be out by the pond anymore and ran over and layed on the driveway til she was done. He looked like a drowned rat when my husband brought him home it was really kinda cute, but i'm sure it was so tramatic with the fish flopping around him and biting him. He was pretty worn out for the rest of the day, but at least now we know he can swim. He really enjoys water or at least he did. I'm pretty proud of my little guy, he's just 10 wks old and he handled the situation so well.

| My mom's pound is pretty big probably a half acre or so she has it for the horses to drink out of and it has a fountain and tons of fish. I think it's at least 20 ft deep in the deepest part. So it coulda been pretty bad. but he knew what to do. he's so smart.

| Our Yorkies are forever finding new and interesting ways to scare the living daylights out of us. Glad everything turned out ok, he is such a clever ltitle boy. He'd better watch out, one of the fish might mistake him for a fish snack and snatch him up! (just kidding) LOL |

| I'm certainly glad that story had a happy ending. They get into trouble so quickly. I don't dare have our kids outside without a leash for a minute. |

| We had a scottish terrier that couldn't swim. When I was 4 or 5 i accidently knocked her into the pool. She was sinking like a stone, my brother ran over and held her head above water til someone came that could lift her out.
