| Which seat is best? Please give me your opinion. For those of you who have flown with your yorkie, did you sit by the window or the aisle. I usually sit by the window, but I think it might be hard to get the carries under the seat. I've getting a medium sized carrier, as my yorkie is almost 10lbs. Do you think I'll have a problem squeezing him under the seat by the window? Oh, I'm flying Spirit! Thanks!

| I haven't flown with my doggie, but i have flown with Spirit before and i think ur better off with the big front seats because the space on the regular are pretty narrow and i'm not if ur going to be able to fit it under ur seat |

| I've never flown on Spirit before, but I am a flight attendant for United and the window seat will be colder on the floor for your baby. If you get the window, just wrap the kennel in a blanket and your baby should settle down. I like to wrap the kennel, no matter what seat I get, then they can't look at me and start to whine. They just lay down and fall asleep. Good luck on your trip, Bon Voyage!

| Yes, I would say take a blanket with you - I ended up in a window seat one time and was so glad I had the blanket to block the one end of the bag. Make sure you have a bag that will fit under the seat fyi - when you post on YT about traveling, please make sure you post on the forum marked Traveling with your yorkie -- because chances are this thread will get moved & that way others can find it, if they have a similar question

| I had no problems bringing food thru for the dogs, but I was concerned about feeding, in case they had to go -- although some have said they have gone into the plane bathroom with a pee pad My Bubba made a little noise on take of & landing on one leg - he sometimes has problems with his ears. I would just make sure you make sure the ears are good - you know what it feels like for us & you need to open your ears. Don't forget to get a health certificate from the vet, you don't want that to keep you off the plane

| Most Spirit planes are small, I would try to get the second seat from the front there is normally a little more room.

| Thanks everyone! Do you put a toy in the carrier with them. I know I shouldn't put a squeaky toy in the carrier, but what about a nylabone or a shank bone. Something to keep him busy if he doesn't fall asleep. I'm just worried about him barking. We're leaving in 10 days and I wanna be prepared for everything. My vet said I could give him a little benedryl go calm him down and make him drowsy. Did you guys give your babies anything?

| I did not medicate & my 2 did fine. They mostly slept. I did bring nylabones, but they weren't interested

| I think I'm gonna take him into a store and see if he barks at people when he's inside his carrier. If he does then I'll try to put a sheet over it, maybe he wouldn't bark if he can't see the people. If he still does then I'll definitely try the benedryl before we leave. I wouldn't want him to have an reaction during the flight when i can't really get to him. Thank you all for your opinions tho. I appreciate it! I'm getting excited about going with him. Can't wait for my family to meet him!
