| Help! Question about my new Yorkie Boy I bought my yorkie when he was 10 weeks old. He was 12 weeks old yesterday, Wednesday. The breeder gave me a picture of him at 8 weeks, and his ears were up. Since I have had him, they have been down. Will they stay down? He was 4 pounds 8 ounces at the vet last week, so he will not be one of the teeny tiny yorkies. I had his ears shaved yesterday, but he seems to have big ears. Is there any hope for his ears coming up? |

| Welcome to YT. Its common for puppy to have ears go up and down while they are growing up. Many times during teething period, their ears go down but after the teething period their ears will come back up. So don't worry about it, enjoy your baby growing up!!!! |

| hi!! welcome to Yt - i am still new too but also had this issue. Lula's ears (also big but adorable) were up when we 1st got her then one went down for a week and the other followed. It is most likely caused by teething. Lula is 7 months old now and they are back up!

| Where's pictures????? I wanted Ranger's one ear to stay down, but it popped right up at about 14 weeks, then both drooped for a bit when he was teething but popped right back up a few weeks later.

| My boy's ears (I think) are finally up. They have been up and down for the past week. He is going to be 8 mos in a couple of days. His ear hair is growing back since they were shaved last grooming so I have put tape on them to help them a long. I have been taking tape off at night to let them breath and his ears are up. I am not sure if I should take off or leave tape on but so far it seems to be working. If they stay down, it will be fine too! Good luck with your little guy. By the way, my little guy sleeps on my arm while I'm on the computer too!

YT Addict | I was so wondering the very same question! I was looking at pictures and saw some ears up and some down. My baby is only 9 and a half weeks old and his ears are down. I think they are cute like that because when he runs they flop. I was just wondering if they are supposed to be up or not and at what age would you know? |

| Anyone have a Yorkie whos ears are "permanently" floppy? Sammy is 13 months old. His never stayed up. (Doesn't help that my husband didn't want to tape them when he was younger). I like him the way he is, but sometimes wonder what he'd look like with ears up. |
