| How much do you pay for teeth cleaning? My vet wants $171.00 to clean Gwenn's teeth. I think that is a little ridiculous. How much do you pay to have your babies teeth cleaned? |

I only pay $10.00, which is the cost of a bag of pigs ears. Best teeth cleaning tools on the market. My big dogs teeth had jet black deposits next to the gum line. After only three months of twice a week pigs ears, they are puppy white. Our vet highly approves of pigs ears, but NOT RAW HIDES.

| We paid about $120 with all the blood work and the IVs for pulling the extra baby teeth that didn't come out and cleaning. I don't know if she needed the IVs, I mean she didn't need them but I wanted her to have them incase anything went wrong. I didn't realize they'd shave her legs to do it. That made me mad. That was about, getting close to 4 months ago and you can't tell the difference if you don't know what to look for. Sylvia |

| My maltese needs his teeth cleaned and my vet mentioned that he runs a special in October on cleaning. So I'm waiting until then to get Bentley's teeth taken care of. Ask your vet if he ever runs any specials on it.

| Wow, I didn't know it was so pricey for a teeth cleaning. Babi, What is your pet insurance? I will like to check it out and contact my vet and see it they take it. Junebug, If is not an indiscretion on my part, I was wondering how much the tech that goes to your home to clean Otis teeth charges? Do you also have his teeth clean by his vet? |

| I just had my Bailey's cleaned and it was only $75.00. My Vet doesn't push the blood work request. That's where the vets get you. I can understand it though, sometimes because the procedure requires the dog to be put under anethesia. I would call around some more. I would also ponder whether the blood work is really needed.

| My vet gave me a break since I was vaccinating and cleaning teeth at the same time. He only charged me $40 for teeth cleaning. My total vet bill was: $153 including heart worm medicine. |
