| Final Cheeky update... Hiya everyone, First off let me start by saying thank you to everyone who inquired about her and to Gerry who tried to help me with the situation. I had to let Cheeky go to the Dog Warden as she had terrorized my dog Max. She had him cowering in a corner with his eyes bulging and she would stand over him or stand staring him down from like two feet away. It was funny until he started avoiding any room she was in which meant any room my husband or I was in. I had to seriously think about it and the end result was the Dog Warden. I thought they were going to take her to this lovely kennel that I had been to but instead they took her to a different one that was horrid and dirty and I have worried myself sick about her. I have kept in touch with the kennel however, I am sure they will be glad to see the back end of this little yorkie, calling everyday to make sure she is doing well. I found out today she goes to a new forever home tomorrow She is actually going to come back to my town but as big as the town is I doubt I will see her. I miss her something awful in the two weeks I had her I grew to love her to bits. I miss her snuggly softness on the night when I go to bed. I probably will not come onto the site much anymore or at least not for awhile as I find it hard to read all your wonderful stories and look at your babies. one day though I will be back if any of you wish to PM me with information on purchasing a yorkie puppy what should I know what should I ask who should I speak to < in the UK> what should I look for when going to see them. That sort of information would be most gratefully accepted... hubby does not know it yet but I have had a taste and... I WANT MORE!!!! Take care everyone and lots of luck and good health to all your furbabies and you |

| Wait a minute. You just had to get rid of a yorkie now you want a new puppy. Maybe that puppy would do the same things the last one did. Thats not responsible pet owning to me. You should wait on a puppy untill you know you can commit to keeping it under any circumstances.

| I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you to keep Cheeky! I know you loved her and did your best, but it just didn't work out. I'm glad she has a new forever home and you can feel better knowing that! I wish you luck in your search for a puppy and we'll be here for you when you should need us! |

| Oh well thats different. I am sorry and I hope everything works out for you. I would still make sure your husband is totally in agreement before taking on a puppy because there still is vet care involved.

Why do people jump to conclusions all the time? ANYWAY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Someday you will get your yorkie, all good things come to those who wait! You have such a caring heart and someday you will get the furbaby you've always wanted!

Let me start by saying I am probably one of the MOST responsible pet owners you will find. I am NOT getting a yorkie puppy tomorrow I am researching it first. I know that some of you will give me good advice as I have been reading the posts on and off for the 2 weeks that I had Cheeky in my home and the week that she has been gone. I know that Max though he is a great dog is VERY scared of small dogs ( cannot figure out why but I have noticed this since cheeky was here) I have discussed it with my hubby and he has agreed that when in the future our dog is no longer here and I am ready for a new one ( as I know I will be one day) I can have a yorkie. That gives me a good 15 16 years to get as much knowledge as I can possibly get about Yorkies. I want to become the Webster's Dictionary of Yorkies. Thanks for everyone who knows and understands what is going on with her and are supporting my decision. It was not easy by any means putting her in the van to take her away from me was the hardest thing I have done since I had my little pug put down four years ago. Also to clarify I have talked to my husband in great detail about the future of a puppy in our house and he has agreed to me having the yorkie I have dreamt of since I first saw one over 10 years ago. Again... I have never EVER jumped into owning a dog and I certainly do not intend to jump into it now. I was just seeking information... Doctors have to have 12 years of education dog owners should have to have some sort of education before owning any dog. Cheeky taught me I know almost nothing about Yorkies... I know they are adorable and sweet and soft and loving but aside from that I had to contact a vet before I knew they have teeth issues... I still do not know what Livershunt is but I know it is bad and Yorkies can have it. I plan on learning all this stuff and was asking for the Yorkie community to help me. Finally my thanks to each and every one of you who understood and shame on you others for assuming instead of clarifying... If you have questions feel free to ask me PM's go straight to my email. So do responses to the forums I forget to turn those off. Susan | |

| I am so sorry you had to let Cheeky go. I know it hurt. But maybe when you get your future Yorkie it will be a puppy and if it should so happen you still have Max, maybe he'll get along better with a puppy. I'm so sorry it happened this way. Good luck, Sylvia |
