| My husband said... Adam said that if I bought him a 1985 black Trans-Am (t-top) and his dream guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Studio - sunburst with gold hardware) that I could have a puppy... Hmmm.....Any ideas how I can get both of them? Lol. Just thought is was funny.

| Boy, he doesn't ask for much, does he? Tell him you'll put the same amount of money it will cost you for a new puppy toward "ONE" of those things (the Gibson might be easier to find). Anyway, if he is willing to make a deal, he isn't against you having a puppy. Find your puppy and then tell him you'll help look for the thing he chooses. You sure can't blame the guy for trying! My husband just got a brand new quad with hydraulics and a plow for it for quitting smoking. Now that deal was worth every penny of it. Not smoking is paying for the quad! Wait....I just reread what you wrote, maybe the car will be easier to find! |

| Look at eBay motors for the car or a local used car classified.

| You ought to do what I did. My huband kept asking for this mustang (cherry red). What I did was found a toy model car of the one he wanted. Got him! He did not say how big it needed to be. It was a great laugh. HeHeeeee. T. |

| Get him a model car and a picture of the guitar. He didn't say if they had to be real or not. |

| Lol!! You girls are too funny. As far as getting the puppy first, that's a no go. He specifically said that he had to come home from work, have them both and then he'll buy me a puppy. I even got him to say "regardless of Marine Corps rules." I don't think I'd get away with the models or the picture, but the non-working order, I could do. He'd probably love fixing it up anyway. Hmmm....gets to thinking.

| I definately think you could find a non-working order model of the car -- don't know about the guitar though. Maybe he would let you get a puppy if he got just one of those things.

That's easy. Get rid of Adam. That way you can afford the whole litter.

| Your hubbby sounds just like mine! For FIVE years I heard this same type of ultimatum, "if he got this or that" or if I could find one for free or maybe when I turn 40 then it went to 60... He had these rules about animals in the house...blah blah blah I finally wore him down because I was turning 40 this year and nothing else would do as a present, the minute he gave in I was searching for a puppy and got Pita that weekend before he changed his mine I think I just wore him out, so never give up! Up until the minute I went into the breeder's to pick her up he was still grumbling, THEN I brought her into the car and he has been in love ever since, he even argued with me the other day about WHOSE dog she was! (she's his according to him) lol! So never give up!! Wear him down!! If mine can give in yours can too! He'll be happy he did! |
