| I am going to be honest and say that if an owner does not love their pet enough to protect them and themselves from a driving accident I am glad that someone is taking charge and doing it. A dog loose in a car is a dangerous thing. They belong in a car seat or a seat belt IMO. Thanks for posting that article. |

| I am against pets riding in the front seat!! I am now more than ever convinced of the danger after seeing my husbands hand being forced against the driver's side window from the air bag! It looked like he had had a fight with his knuckles bleeding and swollen, black and blue for several days. The impact was so hard that it knocked his watch off his wrist when it hit the window. All from the airbag deploying on impact. (He wasn't at fault!) But it happened so quick and the airbag has such power that I am sure it "could" kill a small yorkie that was riding on the driver's lap. So I think it is a great idea!!!

| my friend got pulled over a few years ago for speeding and the cop told her she could get a ticket for having walter on her lap. so i think it must be a law here.

| I agree. The force behing these air bags can break a person's wrists -- so imagine what it could do to a Yorkie or other small breed dog? Heck, I'm sure it could even seriously injure a large breed dog.

| Even though I'm a firm believer in making "fido" set in the back seat and strapped into the seat belt, this is such a trivial thing to debate and take another one of our rights away from us. America should be standing together and fighting for our freedom before it's taken away by those who want us dead and are this very minute in every part of the world gaining power. Sorry to be so blunt, but the world is in serious trouble folks. | Its not always about whether they love there pet or not sometimes they think well it will never happen to them or they just dont know what could happen. Callie is just about always in her car seat or someone is olding her in the back seat.

| I keep Sidney in a small traveling kennel strapped with a seatbelt. I agree. Even if you are the most careful driver you can't ever know what the people around you are going to do. I am not willing to take that chance, I want to keep Sidney as safe as I can. |
