| The Strangest Thing Happen To Me I have to tell U all what happened to me last Monday, I had a man call me asking me if I had any Yorkie puppies available. He said that where he gets his Schnauzer groomed at told him to call me. I told him we didn't have any puppies, that we might have some next Spring, but they would be pet quality only if we had any, he said oh well that may be to late I may not be here next Spring for I have cancer. I said now if U had gotten ahold of me say the end of January I might of given U one for I gave 2 away, he said no, I said yes, he said his neighbor had a Yorkie and he just loved it to death, explained how he just wanted to have one to sit on his lap. My heart sank when he said the word Cancer, as I've had a lot of close family members pass away from Cancer. I ask him where is was he said in his lungs. That they had only given him 6 to 8 months to live, he sounded so weak and so out of breath. I ask him how old he was and he said 66. I told him well only the Good Lord above can make that choice of when he's ready to go and not to give up. I told him about my Father and his open heart surgery 2 years ago and how we about lost him, and now this year he is getting ready to put 1500 lbs of potatoes out in the field to take to the market this Summer to sell. He said no, I said yes, see we don't know when our time is, he said U're right. He ask how old my Dad was I said 78. He said Lordie I love fresh veggies from the garden. I said well I don't want U to take offense to what I'm going to ask U. He said NO NO, I said well my Parents always has fresh garden goodies left after he goes to the market and they give away what they have left, I said would U take some of the garden stuff he has if I get U some, he said Lordie honey I'd eat every single bit U brought to me, by this time I had tears in my eyes. I ask him what veggies he liked and he said onions, green beans, beats, tomatoes, potatoes I said well Dad raises all of that. I said well I don't want to make U sick or nothing he said oh no sweetie I won't get sick I promise. So I said well I need U're name, he said his name was Jack, I told him mine and got his addy. I ask him if he was married and he said yes, his wifes' name was Sam. So I called my Mom and told her about Jack and she said they had tons of garden food frozen in the freezer vaccumed sealed, for me to call him back and ask him if he'd take it. & yes they would give him all the veggies he wanted this Summer. I called Jack back and ask him if my Mother and Sister could bring stuff to him out of my parents freezer, he said yes that they would deeply love that and that with all the cost of his meds they was having a hard time making it. So I told him give my Mom a few days to get it all together and she'd bring it to him. Well she hasn't gotten it all together yet, they have 3 big deep freezes and a hugh walk in freezer full of food, so I'm sure they are digging through it all to get him lots. Let me tell U when she gives she gives tons. She is a giver. Now I never ever heard of this man before and he lives right here in our City. Why all this happened is beyond me, but I feel so good knowing I've in some way helped this man and his wife, and I'm sure my Mother will be glad to meet him as a few of her younger brothers & sisters has passed away with Cancer and so I just hope that God blesses him to not be in pain or to suffer through his Cancer, so if U all can please say a small little prayer for Jack, I'm sure he's love it. |

| Some people believe in "luck" or "fate." I do not. IMO your meet-up with Jack was planned. How could it be just "luck" that your conversation turned towards veggies and that your family raises them? I believe with all my heart that your were brought into his life to give him joy during his difficult time. May you be blessed for your kindness.
