YT 2000 Club Member | Lil Miss Maggy May, & The Reason Why.... Many people here at YT have asked me if I turned the lady in that had Maggy May since I've became a member. I've decided to write the whole story and the reason why I hadn't turned her in so everyone would know and understand. In case your not familiar with Maggy's story, she came from a horrible situation, the lady had 28 dogs inside and 25 outside and from what I had been told, it was totally disgusting. So, here's the story. I was setting at home one day and got a call from my sister, she told me she got a call from our Mom who had gotten a call from our Auntie Sue. Our Mom had told my sister about this litter of pups that were only 6 weeks old and the owner was going to have the whole litter put down if she didn't find homes for them all. My sister was told they were part yorkie/chihuahua and my Mom was going to go down and get one of the pups so my sister asked her to bring her back one as well, she said she told our Mom she didn't want a white one though and she didn't want one with short hair and she didn't want one that looked exactly like a chihuahua. My sister had told me the lady that had the pups were our Auntie Sue's neighbor and the lady had a bunch of dogs inside and outside. When I got off the phone, I was LIVID!! My daughter and I talked and she said she'd love to have one but she wanted a black one, cause having a white one would remind her to much of a previous animal she'd had and she didn't want that. So, I called our Mom and told her Jess (my daughter) wanted one of the pups as well and since she was driving down, could she bring Jess back a pup to. I told her the color Jess wanted. She said ok, she'd bring her one back. So, I got off the phone with her and called my Auntie Sue and told her Jess was gonna take one of the pups as well and asked if the lady still had the pups, she said yes. Then I started asking questions and that's when I found out she had 28 dogs inside and 25 dogs outside and the lady didn't even know these pups were born until she moved her couch out and found them recently. Needless to say, I was even more livid when I got off the phone that time, I mean, to think this lady had all these dogs and the horrid conditions they were in, it just sickened me. So, our Mom was supposed to go down the next day and get three pups. Well, my husband and I went to my sisters house and waited and waited for our Mom to show up with the pups but she never showed up, we found out that the lady said she could come down like a day or two later to get them, I guess she was busy or something and no one could come over just yet. So, a day or two later, we went over to my sisters and waited again. Finally we got a call from my Mom, she said there was only two pups left, one was hers and one was for my sister Sherrie. I felt bad for Jess (our daughter) cause she had already went out and got a dog bed, puppy food, toys and had money put away already to take it straight to the vet. I knew from past experience that my Mom was not good with animals, she doesn't take care of them, she never takes them to a vet, she's let her past boyfriends beat them into submission damn near killing them before and she wasn't financially able to take care of an animal, let alone one that was bound to have medical issues coming from such horrid conditions. So, my heart sank, Jess had been calling me from her work wanting to know if the pup was there yet. Finally when the pups did arrive with my Mom, there was Maggy May, she had long hair, was black and looked sick, her eyes was swollen and she wasn't active at all. Then there was this all white one that looked just like a pure chihuahua, short coat and just so darn cute. My Mom pulls the black one out and says, this ones mine (meaning hers) and she pulls the second one out and says, this ones yours Sherrie. My sister just looked at it and said, no it's not Mom, I told you I didn't want one that was all white, short hair and looked like a chihuahua. She told my Mom she didn't want it. My sister turned to me and asked if Jessie wanted it. I said, well, she said she didn't want a white one cause it would remind her to much of Chance and I knew it would upset her having the white one, it would just remind her of Chance to much. I had asked my Mom if she'd trade pups and let Jess have the black one and she said no. I told her that was BS, she KNEW the other day I told her Jess didn't want a white one, she wanted a black one. She laughed at me and said, nope. So then I called Jess at work and told her what was going on and that the white one now had no home and her Grandma would trade and let her have the black pup. She was upset but said, bring the white one home, I'll take it, it has to have a home, I'll take it. I got off the phone and told my sister and Mom that Jess was upset but said she'd take the white one. I guess finally my Mom felt bad and she walked over to me and said, here, take it, I don't want it, let Jess have it, it was the black pup. I said, no, don't worry about it. She said, no, just take it, I don't want Jess to be upset. I asked her if she was sure and she said yes, but Jess could only have her under one condition, she had to name her Chleo. That is my dead Grandmother. I said, well Mom, I can't promise you that, I don't know what she'll name it, then my husband said, no, if it's gonna be Jess's dog, she'll name it what she chooses to name it, not what you want her to name it. She got ticked off and said here, just take it. I asked one more time if she was sure and she said yes, so, I said ok and took the black pup and left and Ross and I headed straight to the vet with it because Jess was at work. I know that sounds mean, but you have to know my Mom and how she is with animals, she's starved them, neglected them emotionally and physically, tosses them to the curb when their no longer baby pups and the novelty wears off, all kinds of crap. More on next reply down....

YT 2000 Club Member | Anyhow, Ross and I got about 5 minutes away from my sisters house and my cell phone rings, it's my sister, my Mom wasn't keeping the white pup, she said she was getting rid of it, she didn't want it. So, I told my sister to tell her to tell my Mom I was on my way, Ross and I would just take the white pup and keep it. So, we turned around and went back and got it and left and was headed right for the vet. By the time all my Mom's BS'ing around about the pups had been done though, the vet was closed so we could take them to the vet until the next morning. In the meantime though, we take them home and had our oldest son keep and eye on the pups and Ross and I went out and bought everything we'd need for the white pup and then went back home. So, later on, Jess gets home from work, she lives in a cottage that is hooked onto our house. So anyhow, she comes in my husband and I'd bedroom and looks down into the bed I have the two pups in and her eyes start to water and she reaches down and picks the white one up. She held it to her heart and kissed his lil head and looked up at me and said, Mom, I want this one. Of course I'm crying at that point to cause I knew she was thinking of Chance. I said, Jess, are you sure? She said ya Mom, I'm sure, I want this one. So, I called my sister back up and told her what happened and asked her if she wanted the black one and she said no, her and her husband were just going to save up and get the yorkie she's always wanted. I asked if she was sure, if she wanted the black one Ross and I would bring it right to her and she said, no, she didn't want the black one either, she's always wanted a yorkie and she'd just wait. So, that's how we ended up with both pups. The black one is Lil Miss Maggy May and the white one was Gibbs. The next day my phone rang and it was my Mom, she said she found out Jess took the white pup and I KNEW what she was calling for, so, I spoke up before she even had a chance to say anymore and I said, Ross and I are keeping the black one. She started getting really cocky with me and then started yelling. I had finally had enough and I said, Mom, you can't even take care of yourself let alone an animal and one that is sick by the way. I'd reminded her how she'd done animals in the past and how many died because of her and how two beagle pups just died in her home 2 months ago cause they were only newborns and the Mom refused to feed them so she took them and was gonna care for them but "forgot" to get up through the night to feed them so they both starved to death and died. She called me and told me about that when it happened and actually said "ooops, I forgot to get up and feed them." No way in hell was I giving her the black one back. Finally she pulled out the ole guilt card and said, Tracy, I bonded with that puppy, I want it back! I said ya, well you had it all of an hour and you "bonded" with it, well here's an idea, why don't you try building bond with the four kids you have here on this Earth and have no bonds with what so ever. It got pretty heated from there on out and I refused to give Maggy back to her, I know with all my heart if I did, she'd never make it, she'd be dead just like the two beagle pups two months before, she'd never go to the vet, she'd be tossed to the curb eventually or given to some of our Mom drug buddies. Call me a winch, call me whatever you may, but Maggy May didn't ask to be brought into this world and she certainly didn't ask for all the health problems she had and she deserved so much more then to be placed with our Mom who would have let her die. So, I stood my ground and we kept Maggy. I lost what little relationship I had left with my Mom and my relationship with my Auntie Sue as well, but Maggy May is here and she's fighting every single day to overcome all the health problems she's had from being born into such horrific conditions. We paid no cash for her but it she did cost me my Mom and my Auntie Sue. We've spend over $1000 on her so far to help her get healthy and she's STILL fighting to overcome it all. She's been on medicine practically the whole time we've had her, she was 6 weeks old when we got her and is 5 months and 3 days old now. I have no idea what all my Mom told my Auntie Sue, but every time I tried calling her to find out exactly where this lady lived or if I could get a phone number on her (one reason was I wanted to find out exactly what the mother and father were, the other reason was to turn her butt in) my Aunt wouldn't take my calls, she would return my calls and the two times I did catch her off guard and she answered, she cut me short the first time and said she had to go so I wasn't able to ask anything, then the second time, she screamed in my ear and hung up on me. Then I found out my Aunt said I was a horrible person and blah, blah, blah cause I wouldn't give Maggy May back to my Mom. So, her and I and my Mom and I haven't spoke since about two days after we got the pups. They had ear mites, yeast infection in both ears, round worms and tape worms when they came to us, on top of demodex mites. Sadly, Gibbs, the white boy was so infested and weakend by the worms that even after taking them to the vet and getting them wormed, he died after only having him for about a week. We took him into the Emergency Vet Hospital in the middle of the night to try and save him but he died in my hands at 7:05 that morning. I used to ask myself if Jess lost Gibbs because I refused to give Maggy back to my Mom, but I don't really believe God works that way. I asked Jess if she wanted Maggy May back after Gibbs passed away and she said no, she said Mom, Maggy loves you, look, she doesn't even come to me, she needs you, you keep her Mom. I tried to get Jess to take her back but she wouldn't. So, she's Ross and I'd girl. We burried Gibbs in front of Jess's window and planted flowers on his grave just a few days ago since the snows now gone. He'll never be forgotten.... Jess did however go out and buy a full breed Chihuahua with papers, his name is Luke and he LOVES Jess so much as does she. So, as for the reason I never reported the lady where Maggy May and Gibbs came from, I was only told she was a neighbor or my Aunts, but when my Aunt did talk to me before everything happened, she said, no, the lady lived in her town, not next to her house. So, I have no idea where she actually lives, what her name is, or what her number is. Believe me, if I could find out, I'd turn her in quicker then crap. As for my sister, my husband, Jess and I all went together and bought my sister an AKC registered full breed yorkie that she's always wanted here a few months back, she's head over heals in love with her lil guy. Oh and then she got a call from my Auntie Sue here about 3 weeks ago wanting to know if my sister would breed yorkie to her mixed breed dog cause Auntie Sue wants to give one to our Mom. That's a laugh ad a half and I can't type here what my sister said to her, just use your imagination, lol.
